To Judith Durham and the Seekers _ I’ve discovered the Seekers in the nineties, In England, while listening to songs from the sixties . I couldn’t help, but fall in love with Judith ‘s voice , So warm and enrapturing , I simply had no choice. Listening to her songs was such a great pleasure, I never knew Australia had such a treasure . And every Australian should should be proud of you, Since Judith , there can never be an other you . Your time with the Seekers was indeed fantastic, And your successes will stay forever iconic. Indeed you shall remain remain a favourite band, Not often , groups can create such an harmonious blend. You conquered the world with your beautiful singing. For a while, overshadowed the Beatles ‘ swinging. From England to USA, when you were on stage, Your stunning voice brought Australia to the front page. As a solo artist too you were outstanding, Spiritually inclined, always upstanding . You did suffer a great deal of adversity, But stayed stoic drenched in spiritually. For your Christian faith you had the greatest passion, Practiced in true spirit, since you had compassion. You were always able to bounce back anyway, And your cristal pure voice never faded away . I am Australian is a marvellous anthem, And it should become the new national anthem. It reflects today’s Australia, for it’s inclusive, Cultural diversity should not be divisive. You left us physically, but not your legacy, For your songs will remain pure natural ecstasy. I will listen to your songs till the day I die, Thanks to RU-vid your memory shall never die. Your pure voice is soothing the world in these strange times Talent cannot wither, nor beautiful rhymes. Your songs will remain evergreen for years to come, You have shown us that, hurdles, we can overcome. It is with great sadness, we have to say goodbye, But I am convinced that beautiful souls never die . Each of us is a passing guest and a seeker, Each, waiting to rejoin the Almighty keeper. Mr Rudel. I first knew about the seekers in 2018 and I agree with everything you wrote about them. As a fan and after these years I think Judith should have left a greater number of recordings. She was actually such a great singer she might have covered most of folk and jazz repertoire. In particular a favourite record for me has become Judith's live London performance of 2003.
@@ziggystardust52 I have! I even commented on it: "And there we have it, scientific analysis proving that Judith had the purest most beautiful voice ever. RIP Judith." (Got 56b "likes" on that comment, so far.) I enjoy his analysis videos, and of course lavishing praise on Judith will always earn my approval.
@@ilovehifi, I suppose we’re all entitled to our own opinion. Quite like Alison Krauss, especially when she does songs made famous by Julie London, another one of my favourites.
Lovely. Such a pure voice, dear Judith. Athol , Bruce & Keith complimented each other so beautifully. Touches my heart each time I hear it. There will never be another you. ❤
Perfect way to hear this, though it is sad the music has been removed. This is yet a proof Judith had the most perfect pure beautiful voice I ever will experience.
If you can sing, musical back-up isn't always needed, just good timing and a good lead [if a group]. This song never made it to the US. I never heard this song until I heard it on one of their CD albums about 20 years ago. So all these videos and recording are a treasure. Thank you.
Wow! I've liked The Seekers since I first heard them in the sixties. Always admired their talent but this really showcases it and gave me shivers. Thank you
The alternation between Judith's solo parts and the choral parts involving four singers makes this rendition very special indeed. I wonder the instruments were recorded separately from the voices.
Thank you again, Rich, for your ongoing efforts to keep us updated on the many projects you work on to keep Judith and The Seekers in the highlights. I've heard Judith say that Carnival is her favorite of all the group's recordings. I have to agree with her. I love so many of their songs, but this tops my list. ❤
You are indeed a great fan of The seekers. I think I am going to translate this song to Brazilian Portuguese. By the way it was in the carnaval of Rio de Janeiro that Tom Springfield found inspiration for writing a song on this theme.
The artifacts on this stem aren't too bad.. What I don't like though is the reprocessed video unfortunately, it's a bit strange to watch the reconstructed faces. Nice idea though.
@@rich963 I did say in another video that maybe if there was a video softening algorithm you could run it through afterwards then you'd get the benefit but it would be less obvious.. The sound artifacts maybe can be lessened using something like melodyne but it's a painful process (Which tool did you use for splitting out the vocals? U5 appears to be the most effective I've found so far).. All this AI stuff is quite amazing though isn't it 🙂
@@kevcall As just a fan who knows little of the softwares you're using (though I am of an electronic background), I can only say that on first few listenings, I heard no artefacts. Now listening specifically for them, I think I can just detect one or two, but would never unless really listening for them. Your result is great, especially both Judith's solos, and the harmony chords. (And unlike another such I heard recently - I think it was an ABBA one - this _doesn't_ feel like there's anything missing [that one, I was waiting for the instruments at key places].)
@@G6JPG well it could be that I'm looking for them lol as I do a lot with AI stem creation and find I'm getting more and more picky :) is amazing what you can achieve I have some that are perfect and others whereby because of the source material sound awful(again to my ear). This was the holy grail 10+ years ago and I never thought I'd have this ability in my lifetime.
