It’s definitely work situation for me, and I came to the conclusion not that long ago that suddenly I am in a power struggle that I really have nothing to do with. It’s all on the other person’s side. They are a steamroller and because we’re in an IT office, which I spent 11 years Full-time in that department under four different bosses, even the bipolar one was better than this one. She is aggressive. She makes changes on the fly without notifying anyone and in IT that can be incredibly interesting. But she Work in procurement and invoicing to our purchasing office directly and not going through me. That tells me that one either she doesn’t like me or two she doesn’t see the need for my services, even though purchasing has told her that she’s got to go through me. I have been trained on the system and I’ve been doing the job for 13 years. I did move to a different job, which was just an addition to the existing job to support several of the VPs in very limited ways. Since they are quite self-sufficient, there’s not a lot of work for me to do in those areas, however, if they take away the IT duties, I really don’t have a full-time job. And I have been considering going ahead and retiring. I am 67 and I was planning to work another three years because I lost half of my retirement account at 62 when I got divorced. The timing could not have been worse. I was hoping to at least get back to where I started in the retirement account and I’m Close but not that close. They only want to give me $238 a month after I retire and that’s in the future and not even gonna buy groceries. So I’m vacillating between two or three business ideas. I would do all of them, but I don’t have the stamina. But I have a sneaking suspicion that this job is taking more out of me than I realize. And it’s not something that a day or two off is going to fix. It’s a deep down exhaustion from 67 years of living with narcissist, and being miss used at work and dealing with toxic people who one day say you’re fantastic and the next day they say you’re incompetent, and now this job is devolving into one of those jobs as well. My position has recently changed into almost a job, sharing type of situation with the other executive admin that support VPs. So we now report to a brand new position of chief of staff, whose position really isn’t that defined and neither is ours, which for all of us having been there 10 years or more is very frustrating. We’re now having tasks assigned to us and then a week later it’s assigned to someone else. I don’t know if they forget or what. Now I have the chief of staff being instructed by the president to work with me about an IT account that I manage which is the cell phones. The problem is they don’t know the rules and regulations of the contract. I do.
