Welcome to the official channel for Make-A-Wish® Alaska and Washington videos.
Together, we create life-changing wish experiences for children with critical illnesses. Research shows children who have wishes granted build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. This improves their quality of life and produces better health outcomes. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. Yet, not every child in our territory who is eligible for a wish receives one. With your help, we can change that. For more information please call 800.304.9474, visit akwa.wish.org or connect with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @MakeAWishAKWA.
The scene of Felix and her making sandcastles together made me absolutely lose it. 🥹 I've just been accepted as a volunteer at my local Make-A-Wish branch and will be going on my first wish assignment soon.
Thanks for your interest in this book. Stephanie's book was never publicly sold and all copies were given to her and her family. I'm sorry that I don't have any to give to you!
I have the pleasure of knowing Wyatt, as he is a good friend of my daughter's from high school. Such a courageous, bright, wonderful young man. What a wonderful video. God bless you all for making him feel so special.
Its been 10 years of great memories and I still talk and shoot the shit with peoplebfrom 2014. Gaming brings a lot of different people together like any other hobby, but it feels more personal to me.
Sure, I play Destiny and Destiny 2 because the gameplay is fun. I play it because I'm invested in the story. But the most important reason I play it is because I cherish the time I spend with my friends, as we all squad up in orbit for a night of literally anything. Bungie has always been a master of bringing people together, and seeing others share in that delight like Wyatt has is the reason I play this game.
We are so grateful for Make-A-Wish who provided a wonderful trip for our little daughter post-leukemia. I am a quadriplegic, and, like Trey, had to sit on the sidelines of life until I discovered the TerrainHopper. Now, like Trey, I am also unstoppable! And, Hoppers for Heroes can assist nonprofit organizations with purchasing a TerrainHopper for deserving heroes. Truly life-changing!
Man, this would be my dream too, maybe slightly different, but very similar. Good to see the youth of America take interest in history. I hope this child is doing well.
That’s really heart warming. I’ve always wanted to be in a reenactment and to see this just makes me want to do it even more. It seems like an amazing community of people that all want to have fun and spread history. 3 cheers for John!
Good for you. Great delivery. - Some powerful words "i like to spend my time with purpose toward realizing my hopes and dreams I'm an optimist. i like to look at challenges, ones that sometimes take mustering a lot of courage and find a way through." "Never loose sight of my dreams" "It gave me permission to dream and dream big again" ....the power of a colour dot matrix printer ....:)
That's cute. In away I can't say totally I kinda get what theses kids go through when I was a month old I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. And I hated every bit of it I was bullied and put out since I was different than anyone else around me. Not to put in anything above what these kids go through is way more than myself but in away I can say I understand their pain.
