Thanks for turning your 'not a hobby' into a video. I had to replace a front wheel and between this video and one other - showed how to take the top off easily - and I don't think I would have figured it out without these handy videos. I'm 61 and even I can't believe how the hell we ever got anything done when I was young.
Only thing I learned from that video is you don’t care! It’s barbecue no one cares, that is bullshit. If you don’t give a shit it’s gonna taste like shit.
This smoker is designed to use wood chips. you can also use wood chunks, charcoal, wood pellets, and yes it will even burn a pilot, and wooden ships. I wouldn’t recommend burning a person tho. Wood ships are usually made out of ash, elm, and pine. Also not ideal for smoking meat.
I had the alto large and they fit perfectly. But I just bought the tenor and I can't even fit them on my head. They hang 3" from my nose. Like wtf completely unusable. Even my gf with a tiny head can't fit them.
I’ve had the tenor frames for about a year. When I start sweating (or even look down) they start to fall off my nose, I constantly have to push it back up on my face. Extremely inconvenient for a pair of blu tooth shades. They also don’t get loud enough 😢
Quick question, how does this smoker hold up in the rain. i mean i live on the Dutch Coast here and have a balcony. i'm thinking about this smoker but not sure yet.
Not a problem in the rain. I’ve used several different smokers, and the easiest to maintain in changing weather is the electric smokers. Specifically the digital temp set. It will add heat as needed without any intervention.
rain and humidity will destroy the digital controller. you need to keep it dry, this is an electrical appliance that should be protected from the elements. there are tons of comments about this controller failing due to moisture. to add more protection you can disassemble the controller and tape the inside seams, screw holes and wiring port with electrical tape to seal out moisture. Tape the outside seam as well, and the hole on the top of the smoker that the controller wire goes into.
This smoke took about 8 hours. Each piece of meat will be a little different. Just slap that bitch in the smoker somewhere around 225 degrees, Leave it at the same temp, then pull that sucker around 200 internal degrees plus. Do not go over 209 internal degrees, the meat will be as dry as a popcorn fart. Pull it, wrap it, let it sit for 2 hours if ya can and you’ll be eating good. Do yourself a favor and plan 3-4 hours more per cook. That meat can sit in a cooler or wrapped in a blanket for hours after being on the smoker. The longer it rests and slower it cools down the better. Best of luck!
Love the tutorial....I did the same thing bought the same one used 80 bucks....my question....if you do not use wood chips....what are you smoking it with...?
I cut my own wood. So I have a lot of cherry trees around my house. So I cut small chunks and let them dry then use those. Cherry, oak, pecan, use whatever its all basically the same. Just hit it with some smoke.
I just bought the same smoker. And I will do a pork butt to make pulled pork and also a slab of ribs for Memorial Day. Thank you for the tutorial. It was awesome🤙🏼👍
Waaay awesome video. I’m sending this video to my son in law. He was apprehensive about using his for his daughter’s birthday party tomorrow. Instead I volunteered. No worries. You should post more care free videos on different meats, you’ll be a hit.
Ha ha.. I'm a lazy girl.. Got mine for free on Facebook but had to scrub it.. What I didn't see him a do is add water? Also another video suggested throwing in that disposable pan to catch the grease so you clean less.. Cuz I'm lazy. Lol.. but I do agree stop stressing nobody cares. It's still delicious..thanks for making it simple... Nobody cares
Thank you for video. I put the glasses on before doing it and used a pencil to kinda mark the glasses behind my ear, to get a more precise spot to concentrate heat. I was surprised at how little heat time needed. Also when I was done heating and bending , glasses still warm, I put them on and squished it tighter to my liking.
For my issue the Bose frame tempo is hurt my face, it is too tight for me, when I tried the demo at the store, I really like it, and after I watched your video, I maybe make a decision again about buying and put the heat on it to bend the middle part of the glasses to let it fit well my face …
Oppp, sorry guys for lately reply, As I said above "I maybe make a decision ..." 😅 ... So I changed my mind to buy another brand that fit well with my face, it was "SoundPeats Frames S"
So i noticed you have what appears to be the alto pair. Correct me if i’m wrong but they’re made of that rubbery plastic material right? I have the tenor pair, which are made more of smooth hard plastic, and when i try this it feels like the plastic is still very rigid when i heat it up and i’m afraid to snap them. Do you have to bend it with a lot of force or does it sound like it isnt working
I have the Bose frames. They are hard plastic. In the video I only heat them up to where it is rigid. If you continue to keep heat on them they will become flexible and easy to manipulate. The more heat the less likely you are to snap them. Be careful, they can get extremely hot, so be aware. Best of luck
I agree. I was an optician back in the day. Unfortunately the local places were unwilling to adjust them due to the electronics in the stems. Opticians should be option number 1. I should have mentioned that in the video. Thanks for bringing that up.
@@yonbucher8364 i did end up getting them tightened and while they still slide down my face its only once every couple of minutes and they don't feel like they're going to fall off so it worked ou! Thanks for the video.
