Thanks for your video, but you swapped them when comparing their diameter so I do not know which one is a smaller diameter. Is the diameter of H8 is smaller than H11's?
Thks for watching. Ya I notice the diameter of the bulbs is differennce too. My understanding for Japanese car will not has much issue with the diameter only.
If u see carefully, u will notice the difference. It's different in texture and pattern. 6d is the biggest pattern and the rest more or less same size. For texture it's either matte or glossy smooth. Matte type u can see and feel the difference of the weave.
a question, I would like to replicate my helmet making it similar to the AGV Pista RR Carbon helmet, but in your opinion which carbon model should I choose to have the same texture as the original AGV Pista RR Carbon helmet? what texture is similar to which model? 5d? 6d?
The HB4 bulb base diameter is 22 mm and the HB3 is 20 mm. You may modify the HB3 bulb to fit the HB4 socket but not vice versa. Note that the modified HB3 bulb wont be sealed in the HB4 socket.
What we mentioned here was vice versa that can fit into the socket. Although hb3 is 20mm and is smaller to fit into hb4 which is 22mm. You still have to twist the bulb into the socket that tightly securing it.
what about LED version ? can I just cut off the "5W" pins which are the 2 closer to the center & it will function like a 7440 where light comes on ONLY when I brake ? can I also instead of cut the pins .... just seal them off so I can reuse a 7443 when I change my mind ?
For t20 brake is 7443 ( 4 pins) not 7440 ( 2 pins) . Theoritically, what you mentioned is correct. But there will be no lights if it isn't braking if you need it as a tail light.
If 1 pin is broken off from the solder, it can still be repaired. Take out the base socket and try solder the pin back to the connection point will do.

For halogen 7443, u can use it on halogen 7440. But for led 7443, u need to trim 1 side of the pin off to function better for led 7440 to prevent short circuit

U mean 1 layer of the Golden yellow film over the white led light? The color would turn out warm color. Hence the more layer we over layed the more intense light color will turn out.

If u have done it correctly and the bulb socket is not faulty, the bulb should hold firmly into the bulb socket. This will not affect the light bulb function at all.
If you did not use a hot gun during the installation, best is to leave it 1 day. If you had use the hot gun to dry it and did a good job, you can roll your windows straight away.
To answer all your questions guys, I had static cling on my front two windows (to avoid troubles, here the fronts are trouble makers during car inspection) and it holds perfectly for years, I had it on for 3 years on one car and now I had it for 4 years straight... no problem at all. It acts like regular tint, except that it distorts a bit the view out, which is the reason I avoid to get it on the entire windshield, but on the fronts and the sunstrip it's perfect. It looks exactly like regular tint on the outside.
