Thanks for posting. This was really informative. I am currently in the process of joining Team Blaze. I began with filling out an interest form from the CSG website. It did take about 2 months, but eventually I was called and had a really non-pressure phone interview about the reasons I wanted to join. From there, my info got forwarded to a recruiter specific for the ERC Team Blaze. I was then sent a request of documents to provide. Some of the documents include highschool/college diploma, birth certificate/naturalization/residency papers, CA drivers license/id, DD214 (if you are prior service). Some of the things that they did not ask for which will be needed is proof of all vaccinations and you will have to go through a Livescan to see if you have a criminal record or not. About 3 weeks after I submitted my paperwork via email, I was told to go to MEPS near Sacramento. There, they will want to check your physical condition - that includes blood pressure and to see if you are height/weight compliant with military specs. Other things were an interview for a psych evaluation, go over paperwork that was submitted. That process lasted about 3 hours. I got to meet 10 other recruits there. There was a retired police officer, two retired military vets, a computer science student, a personal trainer. Most were not vets, but it didnt matter. Anyways, that was about 1 week ago and I am currently waiting for someone to let me know that my DOJ background cleared and also am expecting someone to contact me regarding uniform purchase. Also, hoping to get info on my drill dates. If you are applying an waiting - hang in there. I get it, I get that the recruiters have full time jobs and that the recruiting is a thing they do when they can. I get the calls and emails back and forth are from volunteers CSG members who are doing what they can. So just hang in there. I will update this comment in the future when I get to my first drill in camp SLO
Great presentation and shout out to the CSFA for their dedication to the future workforce of tomorrow. #Exploring_Director_on_Duty.org #exploring.org gina.chan@exploringla.org.
