This channel is about my love of riding motorcycles, showing the viewer my perspective in a cinematic form. I want to tell my story as well as yours through videography and music. I am not brand specific, but use mainly Harley-Davidson as the main character. Mail, Shovelheadffej PO Box 624 Arcadia, Florida 34265 U.S.
I don’t know what you paid for it but around where I live even junk is selling for big money and that would be a great bike for someone young starting out on motorcycles I been looking around where I live for one for my almost 13 year old grand son to help fix up he has two years till he can ride
I am 83 years old. My first Harley was a 1942 "45" flat head when I was 14 in 1955. Before that it was Whizzer motor bikes and Cushman motor scooters. My current ride is a 99 Softail Custom EVO powered. I have ridden a few shovel heads, and they are great motors. I have never owned one. I did ride an 84 Iron Head Sportster for 23 years. To me the EVO is the last of the simplicity of the V Twin. Not quite a shovel, but pretty darn close. Just my opinion though. I loved that old Flat Head also. No powerhouse but super fun to ride. Foot clutch hand shift is nothing for a 14 year old who is stupid enough to believe he can ride anything. I never had a problem with it from the first day. I never new any difference until I rode an early Triumph with a hand clutch and right side shifter. No problem. At 83 I love the simplicity of the EVO. No rubber mounts on the Softail. You still get to feel the motor and listen to the drag pipes while watching the sun reflect of the head light. When I get home my wife says, you had a good time. She knows what it does for my disposition when I walk in with a big smile on my face. Anyway, great video.
Thanks Jim, agree 100% about the EVO's...would really love to have a flathead...glad you're still out here riding...I really appreciate you watching and commenting...👍✌️
Ok so what was the other bike? You said you went out for french fries and came back w two bikes. At least thats what i thought i heard! Great video! Thanks
Chopper Rods got some cool cars and bikes. I like the trike. The Chevy Nova sounds good and seems like it has a lumpy cam. Also your old white police bike looks cool 😎. Hopefully you can do another vid on that when you get it eventually going. Also your giveaway bike is a great bike too.
Go to Napa store and buy a gallon jug of pontoon aluminum cleaner and douche the whole bike in it. It will save you weeks of cleaning. It eats the rust off the chrome and gets rid of the oxidation on the aluminum. Make sure you dilute it as insulation.
You have a nice place to smoke a cigar and enjoy the rain. I'm gonna have to get me a shirt I like your logo. I love sportsers sold my first and regret it but still own one and will always own a sportster I the fleet. I was gifted my fathers sportster years after his passing and it's a bike I will own forever.
Your videos always rock. You should build a sick chopper out of it and don’t skip the stuff you think is boring we love watching the ffejtorials and learning shit.
I had my 883 up in storage for 5 years while I use other motorcycles and while other motorcycles got stuck from sitting it was in gear when we pushed it out of the shed and we can hear the Pistons going up and down knew we had good compression. Marvel mystery oil is good stuff. If you ran a bike low on oil and it seized the engine then it is seized if it is just stuck from sitting that is no big deal some marvel mystery oil or some rust release will free it up in a couple of days of soaking and you can just rock it back and forth in 4th gear or 5th gear and it will free up. I have had my 83 Sportster for 25 years and 400,000 miles it has gone through 37 back tires and 19 front tires just did new front fork seals and brakes and fluids and a new front tire. It has been used for transportation everyday except for the years that I was recovering from my motorcycle accident and I had to use my sidecar outfit because my leg was not so good. It has been phenomenally reliable and dependable more than I could ever believe and it has outlasted all three of my Hondas put together. I have gone through three belts and 25 years of ownership. She has been like a good dog that has been rehomed. She sits outside and she only gets washed when it rains. The only thing I polish is silver. Like your videos greetings from Punta Gorda Florida
@@shovelheadffej I would like to take a ride out and see your shop and everything. Being retired I have a lot of time with nothing to do. That's one of the reasons why I have so many miles on my Sportster is just taking rides out to post 69 in plant City just for lunch and then riding the 100 miles home 🏡.
