Hi Andy! I won the showcase on "The Price is Right" show #3921D, aired December 22, 1980 (it was a Christmas show). This was really before people had VCR's, so I never was able to get a copy. Is there anyway you know of to get a copy of this show?
There were a few other people on Jeopardy that accidentally swore on the show as well. Alex Trebek: F**k em! Stephen (don't know his last name): Oh f**k! Gregory Scruggs: F**k! Constance Wu: What is the t*t? And Some people call the Titanic the t*t! Mayim Bialik: What is the t*t is not correct! Ken Jennings: What's a hoe? And Oh s**t!
24:37 Sell it lady, give it to a charity... why does he care? lol. Bob "You're going to get the heck off my stage is what you're going to do" well... thats' how i read it anyway lol.
I bet Bob Barker doesnt like watching these old shows that gave away fur coats as prizes. i dont know what year he became an animal activist, but i highly doubt it was 1980
Bob Barker actually banned fur coats on the show starting with the second week of Season 11 and he became an animal rights activist following the death of Dorothy in early 1982.
I greatly enjoyed watching this episode. It was also a nice red-letter date as it became the day after our beloved Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series.
Was it just me or did anybody hear that in the audio I wound it back… when the Japanese contestant was first called… I distinctly heard somebody say “Ah So!” That was kind of messed up. It was muffled and sounded like somebody tried to remove it from the audio track But it was there
First known $1 bid on the current incarnation of the show happened on a Dennis James nighttime episode in 1976. The practice itself dates from the Cullen version, but it seems nobody remembered it for several years.
