My late grandmother, Marjorie Saunders, appears in this episode.
(Almost) Full episode: The first contestant's introduction is missing.
I have dated this episode based on the release date of the CBS Wednesday Night Movie advertisement which appears. I'm 99% sure it is correct.

The contestants were so much calmer back then

Probably because people then had something called dignity, and didn't want to act like buffoons on national TV.

TR47 Today, people make complete fools on this show like they’ve never been anywhere. Back in the 90’s you have a lot of college kids that acted crazy and now you see more older people acting foolish.

Holy Toledo, what was with the budget on this episode? That boat almost could have been at the end of the Road, and then the prizes for those second and third games? This is Bob and the show at their finest. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. No idea when your grandmother passed, but she seems like a lovely person. My condolences.

Bob Barker actually banned fur coats on the show starting with the second week of Season 11 and he became an animal rights activist following the death of Dorothy in early 1982.
