This channel is all about Powerlifting! My name is Arian Khamesi and I'm a Powerlifting coach, meet director, referee, and athlete. So I make videos on this channel going over topics in the sport of Powerlifting specific to those areas. If you have any specific questions or topics that you'd like for me to discuss, then leave a comment on one of my videos or you can contact me directly through the information below.
Yes, it's in the paid version. If you go to liftingcast.com and then select features from the drop down menu, then you can see which features are free and which are paid.
Can't use compression shirts. "The T-shirt must be constructed entirely of fabric or a synthetic textile and cannot consist, in whole or part, of any rubberized or similar stretch material that is deemed to make the shirt supportive."
You can't use this for weightlifting because weightlifting uses a rising weight system for lifting order and powerlifting uses a round system. You'd need to find another program for powerlifting. Here's what I found on Google: jflamy.github.io/owlcms4/#/ olyftia.com/ www.kazovision.com/sports/weightlifting/?lang=eng
My question is though, when you compete in powerlifting, shouldn’t everyone either all wear a belt or not wear it? Because if only one person wears it and the opponent doesn’t, isn’t it unfair that the person wearing a belt has more advantage?
But my question is, is there such thing as creating abdominal pressure by wearing a belt while bench pressing? I’ve tried benching with a belt on but there was no point. I can’t create abdominal pressure while benching because my upper body is focusing and my core won’t really function much.
Insightful! The Stoics actually went up to $75 now while the old SBD sleeves are still at $82.50. So the verdict is that it's worth splurging on SBD singlets and sleeves since they're not too much more expensive than cheaper IPF-approved alternatives, but for the belt it's worth it to just go with the Inzer since you're saving $150 that way?
Prices will vary over time and from country to country. Also, it can depend from lifter to lifter if they want to support a specific brand, if they want a specific color, and other things like that. And personally, I don't think knee sleeves add anything so I think the old $82.50 versions are fine. But I know many lifters think they add lots of pounds to their squat so they'd only be looking at the new $125 version as an option for comparison.
I’d say wrist wraps probably aren’t necessary. If they have no knee pain, then knee sleeves probably aren’t necessary. But I’d say wearing a belt regularly would still be beneficial as it lets you lift more weight which means more strength and hypertrophy.
Yes, I use SSB squats for some lifters. The numbers vary from lifter to lifter based on their strengths or weaknesses. So don't worry about what other lifters are doing, just figure out what you can do on each specific variation based on what you're trying to do.
It depends on what kind of setup you have. Like you can use an HDMI cable to connect to another display and then duplicate or extend the screen. Or you can go into an HDMI splitter and then connect to multiple displays.
I use a thumbs-length close-grip on all benching and overhead pressing exercises at 5ft7" 180lbs and 67" reach short arms., torso dominant, thick back and chest, small arms and forearms maybe 11" biceps.
@@CoachArian I am stronger than I look. My limbs get stronger but not bigger. I thumbs-length inclined-bench press 165lbsx 7. My goal is 225 x 7 by my birthday 🎊🎂 July 14th.
I still have my lever belt from high school, it’s maybe like 6 years old. I think it’s titan brand and it’s held up pretty much perfect aside from normal wear. It’ll last probably another 10 easily, but if it breaks I would definitely buy another Titan
Which version of the SBD belt do you recommend? 10mm or 13mm belt? If we are talking about the long run and about competing seriously in powerlifting should I consider 10mm or jump straight for 13mm?
First of all thanks for replying 🙌. Some details: I'm 183cm and 80 kg(low fat) the idea is to compete as a junior in the -83kg category. In addition, I'm a conv. deadlifter I still have to try sumo but since I'm making good progress I keep conv. as my comp movement. Thats my main concern cause I think squat could be great the thicker belt but not so good for conv. deadlift.@@CoachArian I will leave here the vids. I would appreciate if you could take a look at them. Squat: ru-vid.comixHZ_3F6Mxc DL: ru-vid.comGD0HQ6wZ-p0
Not perfect form but certainly not very bad either.. Dude is pushing it so expect to see some rounding. We've all seen much much worse. If this is the worst you've seen go visit a few commercial gyms.
Thanks@@CoachArian Do you have an email for further contact? I need a discussion on providing my ladies powerlifting team with programming for our State meet. Not all are good with tech.
@@ericcuth travel expenses to meets including car mileage if you had to drive, business meals, cell phone, computer, home office, IRA, 401k, HSA, and annual company meeting are a few I can think of right now.
I try to mock a meet with test version. However the website doesnt allow me to input the squat #1 attempts of lifters and also doesn't show the lifters's names on the run screen. Could you please help me out? thanks
Hi, I've never run into that issue before. You want to make sure you're going through all the steps of filling everything out on the "setup" page, adding in all the awards divisions, and then adding in lifters on the "Lifters" page.
I'm not sure why people aren't understanding that the way these A.I programs advance is by getting the information from us! Eventually the A.I. programs will get more sophisticated as we find faults with the current system, again due to human input, which will then displace most jobs, the ultimate plan. The dumbing down of the world is in full effect. Get smart humans!
There are so many Sarms that clear the system in 7 days. Also many masking agents, and only testing top lifters is pointless, and doing it only at certain times during the year is in effective.
They don't only test the top lifters and they don't only test during certain times of the year. And 7 days is too long to clear the system when you can get tested out of competition at any time. But yes, there will always be people researching new ways to cheat the current systems and then people researching new tests to catch new things.
Nah you stated in the video 4 lifters get tested. Why is 7 days to long for the average lifter? Or are you referring to only elite lifters getting tested sooner than 7 days? And I meant 7 days prior to a contest,I doubt they test 7 days prior, especially all the lifters. It would be too expensive, and (blood testing necessary for accurate testing) is way above their budget
@@NaturalMeAmerica I'm saying 7 days is too long to clear the system because you can get tested out of competition at any time of the year. For example, Sean Noriega got out of competition tested in June leading into Nationals in September. So he wouldn't have 7 days notice or even 1 day notice in order to prepare and clear everything out of his body. You can see all the USAPL drug tests publicly if you want docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VaXAd4ETiWk6NMmNzXmTNBAHe494TLxbOig_cf5gw4A/edit?usp=sharing Also, as far as blood tests, the IPF does blood tests because they do WADA testing. I saw a number of world champions last year get urine and blood tested. For USAPL, I'm not sure what they're going to do going forward now that they're out of the IPF. They may just stick to urine testing since it's easier to do.

Hi Arian, the program shows percentage with kilos and next to rpe. If I want to use the percentages, I must load week after week more kilos than what the program says or not. For example: week 2 140kg (70%), week 3 150kg (75%). Should I charge 150 or a little more? by progressive overload
I'm not sure I 100% understand what you're asking but if you haven't watched the video completely, you should as it explains what to do as far as the percentages and RPEs.
Really informative video Arian. Cleared things up for me I'd say. I have one question, what is your opinion on Gymreapers, Profitness or Iron Bull Strength lifting belts?
There are thousands of random brands out there so I can't see/try them all out. So you have to do your own research. All these random companies get the same belt from the same manufacturer and then just throw their own brand logo on it to sell. So they're all about the same quality and it just depends on how much they can sell it for depending on their marketing skills. But why get a Gymreaper or Iron Bull belt when you can get something like Inzer, Pioneer, or Stoic for the same price or cheaper? And the Profitness belt looks like a flimsy, bodybuilding belt.
