when i got From Enslavement To Obliteration back in 1992 while visiting Krakow, i too was amazed and entertained by the vocals in the exact same way. the singer actually has two totally different registers of scream, the guttural low voice Jim imitates, which would take three lines of the verse, and then a fourth line of HIGH PITCHED screaming… “guh wuh duh wuh wuh / guh wuh duh wuh wuh / guh wuh duh wuh wuh / *WAAH WAHH AH WAH!!!* “ was the imitation i used to do of it 😂
He's right, but that's one of the things I love about Napalm Death and death metal in general lol. I'd say people who aren't fans of growling, screaming, squealing, howling and shrieking probably shouldn't listen to it.
