Welcome to the channel, Im Calves a traveling hiking machine. I first left the USA in 2013 and havent looked back. Since then I have traveled to 108 countries and counting. Ive owned and lived out of a car in 5 of the 7 continents and ive summitted two of the seven summits. In that time i fell in love with hiking and then covid hit and brought mw back to the states. Ive since became a long distance thru hiker. Here you find a smattering of videos from my travels, hikes and daily shenanigans.
I mean, your total is quite phenomenal. You did extremely well to keep costs that low, really. Great video, thank you- i only did the Swiss VA, few years ago- thinking abut the whole trail now...
Even though the water is turned off if you really needed some just put a basin pan under the water heate drain there will still be at least 40 gallons inside the tank
Been watching all your AZT videos multiple times and I just want to thank you for the effort you have put to make this. As I am planning sobo thru hike this fall your videos have helped me immensely. In fact I think you should write AZT trail guide 😉
Is that place off the scenic route that passes through Sedona? I went there in the early 90's, when i stayed near Flagstaff for a while. Took a ride through there after seeing the Grand Canyon, & Williams. Big Elvis fan here & just curious
Hey Stefan, so happy I stumbled across your video, and that you liked Switzerland. We met on the PCT in 2022, I remember you well hiking in sandals, right? I think it was in the Sierras… well, if you plan to do the swiss part of the Red trail in the next years, get in touch, it would be a pleasure to meet again… 😊
Thanks man! I woupd love to go back and do the rest even if the official route is the green that i already did. But i will be in touch. Calves and yes i always wear sandsls
Great material, really useful👍 i've watched all videos of your trip, some of them couple of times☺ the fact that you accomplished that with the sandals makes me laugh about myself..- trying to find perfect shoes for my alpine quest 😅 cant wait to see video about your gear🙂
Thanks for the feedback, yes sandals, ive done all my thru hikes in them. Just finished the florida trail in them. Gear video will come out, some time this year been very busy with work..but ill get it done. When you do you start your via alpina?
Dont be sorry, its clear your uninformed. Just like a house, rv, van or tent when it rains you stay inside. The benefit for my setup is that i can move, anywhere i like and get away from rain or bad weather. It ok if you think its alot of work and maybe for you it is. But i found that it was easier than i thought it would be and i learned alot along the way. What do you do on rainy days, btw?
Greetings from the frozen north of Alaska. AZ was my home before I moved north. Thanks so much for the trip to all of my happy places in the GC. Looking forward to returning to do a rim to rim to finish my AZT this fall. Happy Trails!
I think you just moved the camera around too quickly some of the time. The video was interesting though. I enjoyed the petroglyphs very much. I think you should call the people Native Americans perhaps. Thank you 😀👍
