The opening song is sung by Midori Kato, who would later go on to, and still does to this day, voice Sazae-san, which has been broadcast every Sunday evening in Japan since 1969.
@Joe Yabuki This is cool but I honestly prefer the artstyle and atmosphere season 2 of Ashita No Joe from 1980-1981 has. I like season 1 of Ashita No Joe too, but season 2 is my personal favorite. The artwork is beautiful as well . I'm trying to find the artbook for season 2 of Ashita No Joe but it's really hard to find. There's alot of really neet moments that are animated in a very creative way . Which I adore . ❤
I appreciate of all soundtrack AnJ & AnJ 2 was really well done by yourself. I wish you can release the track like a playing keyboard fender piano from AnJ 2 from any scenes from minute 24:28 from episode 43? Thanks
If this show got a remake it would not be as pretty to look at. 80s anime was very limited in what it could do so they made sure every frame no matter how small was put to good use. If i pause any scene in ashita no joe 2 90% of the time its gonna look gorgeous but if I pause a scene in a modern anime chances are if its not a fight scene its gonna look lackluster and bland. Its like the mindset for making fresh anime is to just dump all the money into the fight scenes. Even the shading is lackluster. Not saying all anime from this decade is like that but lets be honest here, a remake would just turn it into the avarage shonen adventure about a guy just wanting to beat everyone when the true message of ashita no joe is finding purpose in life and growing as a person even if it means putting your life on the line. Im afraid that if it does get a remake it would lose its grittyness and be polished to fit the new shonen style even tho its a seinen.
The fighting scenes in this are epic, if ashita no Joe got a remake fighting scenes like that really could elevate this masterpiece of an anime, I wish it gets a remake that's amazing and I can live and see it 🗣️
The scene where Joe tells Danpei he still hasn't turned into white ash at the end of the penultimate episode...😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 Joe already accepted his fate when he realzed he finished Rikiishi's life and Carlos career, but that moment when he reaffirmed his resolve to turn into white ash😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Bro what is that at 1:10, 2:33... It reminds me shitty friend power in ippo Anj 2 isn't about that at all Remember this line in the opening? "The scent of loneliness suits me best" I
*1:33 That line in the opening is about the sacrifices like isolation Joe is doing. Joe researches redemption from the fact that he's failed by the society. By redemption i mean a liberation from a pain that is deeply and constantly felt
