After I made these wings, once all the kittens started running and jumping everywhere, I would do a daily count of "wings" since they would alll get lost 😹 they truly loved running with it and "hunting" them and it gave me so much pride to see them playing with them ❤ it was a small connection, but so important too...

It was a hard moment, she really loved (and loves) being a mom. Even while they were still in her tummy, it was the only time we'd ever seen her stand up for herself, just to protect them. Each one was a little treasure for her and she loved them all ❤️
We documented all of Nubi's motherhood journey, as we tried helping her. We shared the miracle of life that it was for her to give birth and unfortunately she also had to go through this pain. There were originally 5 kittens, we lost one. After this occured, I learned that losing a kitten can be common. The confusion a mother cat feels not being given the opportunity to grieve also has major consequences. This moment with her kitten was essential for her to be able to nurse and continue loving the other kittens that survived. This is not a situation to hide from, as it's the sad reality. To not acknowledge that she went through a period of grief wouldn't be true to her story.
She did spend time on her own, but we also made sure she felt LOVED. She spent all of her pregnancy scared and alone, not sure who to trust. She reacted well to our support (hence the eye closings as I rubbed her head), so we stayed to make sure she knew we were there to help her. We didn't want her to go into a depressive state and then things would get worse. And in the end, our approach worked out. She was able to surpass this loss and raise her other kittens and now runs around the house happily. If when you rescue cats leaving them completely on their own works for you, that's okay. However, for us, after all she'd been through, being there for her was all we could offer, so we did what we felt was best for her and her other kittens.
Aww that's really sweet of you. Thank you ❤️ Thankfully we were able to help them as they grew up, and continue to help the few ferals and strays that come for breakfast. However, I don't know that we'd be emotionally able to raise kittens again. I have a lot of admiration for those that foster since after our experience, while beautiful, it was emotionally taxing. If we did get more views/subscribers, it would be amazing to be able to build the ferals a safe shelter though 🐈❤️
She truly loves being a mom, even a year later, she still gives her (now big babies) kisses and they look for her love on a daily ❤️ Every two caturdays, a new video is posted of our memories throughout her motherhood... and in between, we share memories of the two babies and her who are now permanent members of our family, along with our black beauties, and our feral crew, so subscribe if you want to be part of our journey down memory lane ❤
If you have any tips for feeding ferals/strays, please share in the comments ❤ Our washable wide plastic plates were a game changer. They made cleanup after feedings a lot smoother and help us ensure there aren't leftovers for critters to come into their feeding area 😊
Why do they keep filming births they should leave the poor mothers in peace ,l dont think any woman would like their birthing to be showing the world ,
These births were not something we were prepared for, as it was an emergency intake to our home for her safety, so I wanted to make sure I could move things around as needed to make sure she was comfortable and safe. I decided to upload the births because these were captured mostly by a pet cam. As it was happening, it was one of most amazing things I've ever witnessed and thought others would appreciate how perfectly created these creatures are designed for birth by God. Birth is beautiful and magical.
@Nobles_journey humans are supposed to eat flesh, what 🧍 Humans are omnivores LMAO This fish is supposed to be for human consumption to be tasty too, therfore it wasn't designed to be for cats and has added things that aren't good for the cat, it's not cat food. It doesn't even say on the can that it's cat food. You saying Humans aren't supposed to consume flesh is a very stupid claim, since we are. We are biologically omnivores, which means we are supposed to eat *both* lolol😭💀
Lol honestly if he would have trusted me enough back then to even try and give him some, I probably would have. I'm the worst at names, but I'm going keep it in mind for someone else that comes by. That would actually be really cute to have a walking Chicharrón 😹
We are extremely lucky 💖 The timing of everything and the way she trusted us was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. She's a wonderful loving mom and we're thankful we could witness and support her through all of it💕
Well, Done!!! Humans or cats, dogs...pregnant mammals all want birthing options. So I totally get it. She looks so happy and has a little relaxed smile.
Thank you ❤️ it makes sense, specially with how big of a shift it was for her. She's the happiest cat now. We went through a lot to do our best to help her adjust and ended up keeping her and two of her little ones who became very bonded with her, so she always has her little smile, months later 💕
