I've not seen the whole strea, but you go from 3.9K to 4.2 between races? Is that some different license? Seems the same sort of thing? Fixed vs free or something?
Hi Duncan, its Paul Cowlishaw from the race. I just want to say that I feel your critique is very one sided. The driving standard generally on Monday was poor I would say due to too much aggression and the league will deal with that using stewards and penalties. I did squeeze you race 2 but you had no overlap, dont be surprised if the door closes when you dont have the overlap. I think you were very guilty of too much aggression esp race 3 which was just a matter of time before your race ended. You drove one guy well alongside you off the track and said nothing. You drove into the back of the pack race 2 I think wiping out at least 2 cars. The incident with James, well you were off track completely, James gave you plenty of space and kept his line, you are on grass rejoining technically, of course you going to slide across him. Some how you analyse that to be James fault. You didnt like my overtake race 2 turn 1 but you left the door wide open, no defence at all, very early on the brakes otherwise I wouldnt be able to close up like I did, I hit the apex and took more of it than i would normally do, its a move you would do all day long, in fact race 3 you did the same move up the inside of 2 cars lap 1 first corner, didnt blink an eye at that. I think if you going to criticise, you have to be a bit more balanced. The other thing I would say is being abusive to other drivers on the league radio is not on. Say what you want on your own stream but not on the league radio. Put your protest into the stewards if you have a grievance. See you Thursday Good luck.
Of course it's going to be one-sided. I'm not here to give other people's opinions. So your move into T1...you sent it from 2 car lengths back and left me no space on the outside 🤷♂️ So I don't feel you left racing room there. If I do the same for the rest of the lap and send it deep on you, overshoot the apex and leave you no room outside on the 3 to 4 corners where you turn in and cut my nose off then we'd crash. The one time I did send it up the inside (as you did) you turn in and we crash. I understand what you're saying about "I didn't have the overlap" but neither did you into T1 🤷♂️ So you can't have it both ways. The incident with James I took responsibility for, so I'm not sure what you mean there. I was also unsighted and trying to follow another car thru and got it wrong. Nothing aggressive about what I was attempting. When I locked up into T1 and made contact with (I think Jimmy). My car was damaged but it was on me 100%. I didn't blame anyone else. The incident at the chicane with Francois we discussed and he withdrew his protest. I will always race fairly, with respect and leave room but when I feel others don't approach the race in the same way, then my approach will change.
@@SteelRiverSims Well you put your opinion out there in a public space and you going to get an opinion back. You talk about respect so maybe look in the mirror (scuse the pun) a bit more. This may be a race simulation but it's real people, real names on display, with real feelings, paying real money to race in a private league and you are broadcasting it out there into a public space and making your own judgements then verbally abusing them. Verbal abuse in public is Common Assault. That's actually a fact not an opinion. I would say just be repectful on track and off track.
@@pcracing2391 Paul I genuinely have no idea why you're question my respect on track. I've re-watched our little scrap and every time it's me who leaves the room, backs out or doesn't turn in. T1 divebomb you leave no space T1 the following lap I send it into 1 and leave you space. T2 same lap I leave you space on inside. T3 same lap I leave you space inside and you make contact pushing me wide. Then multiple times my spotter calls "car right" and you just turn in for the racing line like I'm not there. Watch it again and tell me I'm wrong!
5.2k and still has to punt people out of the way to pass. Hope he never transitions to IRL racing because hands will be thrown fast for shit like that whether he apologizes in the end or not. Good job keeping it calm 👍
Yea, pretty poor. However, heat of the moment stuff I'm sure, like I said I was probably the difference between him gaining iRating in this race 🤷♂️ It was a daft move but he apologised
Love the shithouse rant Dunc, old school. Off to visit my Mother in Guisborough for a couple of weeks, be glad to get out of the heat in Hungary. If you hear someone shouting shithouse it might well be me. 😂
I was cowlishaw behind you in race 2, I thought the apron incident with stitchbury was on you as you used the apron to get alongside therefore he didn't need to give you any room then it got a bit messy. You could put a stewards report in and see what the official opinion is. Nice racing though.
Yea I've been looking into it, I believe I am alongside enough before we rejoin the banking again. I think it was legal 🤷♂️ Not bothered about reports, it's just hard racing and no one crashed. All good mate 👍
This footage is taken from a live event, where all of that info is vital to understand what is going on in the race for the live viewer. It can't be removed for the VOD I'm afraid.
The sim helps to put drivers in situations they might find themselves in on the real track. Drivers that don't sim race will find themselves in situations they've never experienced and won't instantly know what to do and when. It's good to have experience. Its good to know "oh, I've been in this situation 3 races ago. I need to wait till xxx to make a move, or i need to make a pass by xxx". The confidence that comes with running 2000 more race laps as opposed to practice laps is big. The racing situation and knowing how to handle them is a great help. Drivers who don't sim won't have this experience if they've never actually seen the situations in a live race.
The thing is, Max is always in the zone. Like sleep, we have to go in between awake and sleeping. Max is always in the dream. He never wakes up. As opposed to the other drivers who dream a little every night, or take a little nap here and there. They are jumping into Max's world, where he lives 24/7, and he is king.
I know it's Max but how on Earth is a GT3 that's just filled up doing south of eight minute laps? Is the air temp -25°C? Absolutely laughable simulation from such a money grabbing game. "GT3" cars haven't done 7:57s since the R8 LMS in 2014 on a shorter version of the track. The 296 set a distance record at Nürb 24H 2023 and the fastest lap was an 8:08 😂
@@SteelRiverSims haha it's weird though. I know he's a freak of nature, but his record at Bathurst was definitely within the realms of possibility. Christopher Mies even ended up beating it in reality despite being held up by another car blocking him on the final corner. I wondered if maybe it had a different layout, but the 24H one already cuts out the Mercedes-Benz Arena and it seems to be the standard 25.4km version. I just watched a bit of his 2024 Nürburgring stint and he was doing 8:10s to 8:13s which makes more sense. The fastest lap in quali this year was 8:10 and last year it was 8:11 or 8:12. Does iRacing offer different tyre brands to the P-Zero DHF? I remember when David Perel was an AM with Kessel, he was challenged to win a GT Open race and get pole and fastest lap in order to earn a seat in the 24 Hours of Spa, and he set the outright lap record on Michelins.
3.20.12 you're dpwnshifting to 1st while still well above 100. Is that needed? Does it help balance? In most of your shifts to 1st, I bet you could just as well hang it in 2nd.
Virginia in the rain, have you try short shifting? And when coming down in speed, delaying the downshifts? Your car seemed might nervour on high revs in the twisties even in 3rd. In second it doesn't tolerate even 5% throttle with any lateral load? You will not get the same peak torque and braking in higher gears, but you don't seem to have a use for that anyway. Makes the throttle less jumpy, or...? I bet you'd be a lot smoother and faster in 1 or 2 gears higher. Just try that hairpin in 3rd in stead of 1st. Once you get to full throttle, you might downshift for troque :-D
I may well be wrong, but I'd think that in a high gear off throttle, these things ought to roll a lot nicer through twisties and drift on the exits. 3:19.43 for instance, what's the rush with the downshift, do you need help to put braking force through the rear axle to give the brakes a bit of a breather? 3rd gear appears to be as effective as a handbrake. I'm not driver but I'd like to decide where my braking force goes, especially when it's so slippy.
Yea in theory it makes sense. What I've found though is that grabbing a low gear means I have less chance of locking under braking and unsettling the car. There's definitely time left on the table here and rolling thru in higher gears may help the lap time but it's not as consistent for me, I'll take engine braking and stability over lap times when the conditions are this bad. Just personal preference I think mate 🤷♂️
This is the top split. In a multi class event like this the top ranked cars from each class go into their respective splits. As you go lower down the splits the more popular car (GT3 in this case) would make up the majority of the cars on the grid.
Ни кто не вспомнит о нем через 20 лет. Кто он? Один из множества чемпионов. Что он сделал для блага людей? Ничего. А Льюиса будут помнить. Себа будут помнить. Такие люди меняют мир! А Макс - нет.
@@Eric-rf1is 🤣🤦 Go watch my live stream mate. Approx 3:35:00 in and you can see that these 2 cars are P1 and P2. Not sure why you think I'd be posting this video if it wasn't true 🤷♂️
