I especially like to hear about your experience. Using this disiplined approach to develop your impressive chops . I thought you must have been born able to do it. 😅
Watching this vid 2 years ago: "so what?" Watching last year: "so what?" Watching today: "...so wha...(click!)...WAIT!...WOW!" Griff...you're blessed! You're the prophet! Thank you very much!
Good to see your alternate picking on your right hand in sync. I use my pinkie often but would substitute it here with my ring, ala EC and Gary. You're an excellent teacher.
Thank you Griff for helping me riff. This is right where I am, knowing some scales/boxes and modes but not how to use them. Playing with backing tracks and connecting to how they are used to create a feeling is amazing!
Been trying for many years on and off to break out of straight scale like (among tons of other issues) noodling ..always sounds so “on beat” for lack of a better description when id try noodling to a backing track ….im a rare case i think , but believe the slurs Griff shows are a key component….along with spending a lot of time forming it all into something musical ….which ive failed at miserably lol ..
When i decided to try and learn guitar it was with the thought i love the blues ,its usually not overly fast and usually being 1,4,5 i can get away with not learning all the confusing theory aspects of music …in other words i mostly wanted to learn how to make pleasant sounds with my hands but not go back to school….yet, the more i know the more i seem to not know …and my hands dont cooperate ..so yeah ,im F#@Ked 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️😬✌️
Blues can be as simple or complex as you want to make it. Start small, solo using the minor pentatonic scale and no more. There's plenty of time to make it more complex down the road.
Griff, you are a great teacher, I have bought several of your courses as well as many others, I keep coming back to you. Keep it up, you have an amazing teaching talent. I hope you are very successful. Every time I watch one of your videos I get a gem of knowledge that makes things mesh. Thank you.
I'm a member of Blues Unleashed it is fantastic in my opinion, start with theory made easy and the rest will begin to open up as you go through the blues-unleashed courses. I hope Griff creates a jazz blues course following chord change-ups scales etc. This would guarantee my membership to continue far into the future
I'm guessing you don't shave or wax your arms because it's too late for people to not notice you shave, trim, or wax your arms 😂 Seriously though, you'd look better without all that hair. I have hairy arms as well and will probably be as hairy as yours when I'm your age, but I groom my hairiness. Women find too much hair gross.
@@bluesguitarunleashed 🤣 You realize she says she likes it because she doesn't want other women looking at you or going after you right? She doesn't want you to appear attractive to other women in fear of losing you. A lot of women try to get their partners to not go to the gym for the same reason and then they'll get fat and they'll tell them that their body is perfect the way it is and that they find fat more sexy. Sorry, but you're being deceived.
@@bluesguitarunleashed She's lying to keep other women repulsed by the hair. I bet she probably tells you that you look good overweight and don't need to work out too
Thank you very much for this great lesson. I bought your course some time ago and I am studying it. Maybe you could do a follow-up lesson on this one, covering soloing and soloing when chords change. Be safe!
I don’t think there’s a video that you have put out that I don’t get something out of it. This has several things that are eye opening or, “aha” moments.
I've been working on this on and off for years since I first heard it from you and to be truthful I can't make it sound anything but dysfunctionally crappy. Maybe I need to revisit the older courses. I always appreciate you. Stay Well and Rock On!
This is an essential lesson. In less than 10 minutes, you'll unlock the pentatonic box and make use of those hinges! This is a very easy to follow and musical approach to using the pentatonic scales. Thank you.
Gosh!!!! God bless you!!!!! All RU-vid talking about triads, so all beginer students trying to learn triads and trying to create a nice melody with it. The result? Frustration. Triads are a way to help visualize parts of the freetboard and knowing where to land cause Is a safe note. As you say, there are major things to learn to improve in the guitar. The thing Is, talking about triads nowadays give you followers.
