seen the demons But they didn't make a sound They tried to reach me But I lay upon the ground I seen the people But they didn't make a sound They tried to reach me But I gave the runaround I reached for feelings But they didn't make a sound They tried to reach me But I lay upon the ground Saw miles and miles of squares Where's the feeling there? Still nobody cares For miles and miles of squares Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers I seen the demons But they didn't make a sound They tried to reach me But I lay upon the ground I seen the people But they didn't make a sound They tried to reach me But I gave the runaround Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers Saw miles and miles of squares Where's the feeling there? Still nobody cares For miles and miles of squares Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers Daydream I fell asleep amid the flowers
I mind first seeing them in 1998, LaBelle Angele, Edinburgh just after 'The Patty Patty Sound Ep' had been released. From my first listen to that Ep, i was hooked. It was instant love for this band. I very quickly managed to acquire a copy of 'The Champion Versions' which sent me into untold ecstasy. I then managed to catch them live numerous times, i have everything released by them(bootlegs included) and have around a dozen T-Shirts. They captured me like no other band before them or since. I was very fortunate to catch them twice on the Farewell Tour, first at the O2 Glasgow Academy on November 12th, 2004, and then at Edinburgh Liquid Rooms on December 5th, 2004(their final ever gig). I'm not embarrassed to say that i cried like a baby that final time of seeing them. I went from the sheer elation of the gig to the pits of despair when those house lights went up. I'd love for them to reunite for one final tour and according to John, they've attempted it a few times, but prior commitments have prevented it from happening. Maybe one day!
Need to listen to more from this band. I've got a Steve Mason solo CD, Humans I think it's called. Lovely soulful voice. Reminds me a bit of Gerry Rafferty's vocal style.
I’ve never seen Legion, so I know this song from MTV2. They used to play it a lot on there, although it was a different video. It involved a swimming pool. Must have been an American version.
So I weirdly had this memory from my teens of being at a house party off my face. There was some sort of music video on in the background with a guy being carried by a bird and some guys on flying rugs. I'd always wondered if it happened or was just part of what I'd taken. But the bird carrying the guy was so vivid that I thought it must be real. I'd always loved the beta band. Yet for some reason had never stumbled upon this till now. I can't describe the emotional weird happiness I'm feeling. I'll stop rambling. But Thankyou.
Falling down the road in the middle of the light That don't mean its gonna be alright Falling down the road in the middle of the light Say to myself you're gonna be here all night Try to find myself and go That way you know you see you'll never go slow Try to find myself and go That way you know you see you'll never go slow See yourself on a thousand times I'm trying make myself I'm never gonna cry You know the way in the day I fall I never know that I could love I felt so (high)?
I really love this video from the beginning, but have you ever seen this? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cCzru63JBSE.html I hope you did, because it is such a funny similarity and there might no danger of rights because stop-motion is well known by now ;)
"Truth and fiction, they all become one Help me from the sea, to the beach, to the la-aaaaand" This is how the world feels today. You don't know who or what to believe. One of their best tracks, imo
No. It is clear. Believe the facts. Believe in knowledge, education, truth, art, science, love, unity, equality, harmony, inclusion, peace, openness, difference, variation, forgiveness, sharing, acceptance. Beware hatred, fear, ignorance, discrimination, prejudice, judgement, closed minds, closed borders, aggression, war, selfishness, greed, abuse, exploitation, inequality, "freedom" to take advantage of those who have fewer resources or less intelligence or less experience or fewer advantages or worse fortune or smaller stature or less strength or less tradition or less acceptance. If one suffers, all suffer. If one is hungry, all are hungry. If one is cold, all are cold. The advancement of the entire world is not worth the mistreatment of one person.
