"Truth and fiction, they all become one Help me from the sea, to the beach, to the la-aaaaand" This is how the world feels today. You don't know who or what to believe. One of their best tracks, imo
No. It is clear. Believe the facts. Believe in knowledge, education, truth, art, science, love, unity, equality, harmony, inclusion, peace, openness, difference, variation, forgiveness, sharing, acceptance. Beware hatred, fear, ignorance, discrimination, prejudice, judgement, closed minds, closed borders, aggression, war, selfishness, greed, abuse, exploitation, inequality, "freedom" to take advantage of those who have fewer resources or less intelligence or less experience or fewer advantages or worse fortune or smaller stature or less strength or less tradition or less acceptance. If one suffers, all suffer. If one is hungry, all are hungry. If one is cold, all are cold. The advancement of the entire world is not worth the mistreatment of one person.
I think I cracked my skull on the way down I think I lost my head when I lay down The fear of facts presented in the cold light of day I say the time has come for decision Better steer my boat for a reason Lost the way I went over horizon She went out of sight The girl lost me a lifetime Sometimes I feel, ['m washed up under] Sometimes I feel, [I'm washed up under] I say the time has come for decision Better steer my boat for a reason Lost on the way I went over horizon She went out of sight The girl lost me a lifetime And when I step back from all this I see that I'm fighting I can't help myself, there's no reason for lying Truth and fiction they all become one Help me from the sea to the beach to the laaaaa Sometimes I feel, I'm washed up under baby
LoL! That caveman at the beginning is my old mate Jason... Long time ago now... I remember my friend Charlie telling me about it (and then showing me a few weeks later!). Charlie helped do the makeup for the caveman/men, and probably a few more people too! Can't remember where it was, but I remember them saying it was FUCKING COLD and they're wearing just loin cloths! LoL!
@@mondegreen9709 kiel bone! I know some esperanto (thanks to my language loving brother), and thought i recognized la verda stelo! but, seriously, an esperantisto and a beta band fan - i tip my hat to you good sir!
the rod represents the technological progress of man, or more specifically the weapons that man creates. The end of the road is where it becomes nuclear weapons. the general activates it, killing everything. and it ends just as it starts, with man as a primitive.
Son of Will thought the historian nut in me wonders why vikings come BEFOE the romans (vikings came 1000 years after) the message still holds up extremely well
elgostine They were actually much closer together than that if we're talking about the end of the Roman Empire, roughly 300-400 AD period, in relation to the Viking age, from 800-1000 AD. So only about 500 years. And there were Germanic raiders from Denmark attacking Britain while the Romans were still there, although they were not exactly ancestors of the Vikings they were cousins. They would become the English after migrating/invading and displacing the Roman-Celtic British.
Thanks to you guys for actually talking about the song/video instead of the usual YT net fights :-P I'm so oblivious to lyrics that I don't notice the meanings most of the time, but have noticed that a lot of music I like ends up having some deep meaning. Very interesting "assessment"... now I gotta look up the lyrics.
Great idea of a music video, but I thought it was well done only since starting from the WW1 soldiers. before that, looks a bit too much amateur, not really convincing. And the car tracks in the sand, that's a pity, it draws attention and spoils the quality of the whole, IMHO.
Drunk Viking Has no point? You look at the world around you today and you're telling me the video has no significance. If anything you've gone a long way to prove how much ignorance plays a pivotal role in 21c society.
the point seems obvious. Warring factions and escalation leads to the end. Only for it begin and recycle again. Whether or not you find that deep is a different question. But there's certainly a point.
