Hello folks, I'm a traveling landscape photographer and these are highway videos taken while traveling from one location to another. My channel isn't exclusively to Colorado and will be adding more states as time permits.
Channel features:
- Road Tour - Interesting Drivers (or bad drivers I guess) - Adventure Videos - Gopro gear
Update: I have created a channel dedicated to Wildlife: My Wildlife Tours ru-vid.com/show-UCo7sUuZ4SwhNnIRvJvhHwkw
Due to the nature of these videos, I can't really set a specific release date. This also includes issues with weather or other unforeseeable obstacles.
Thank you for watching, please share and subscribe. myroadtours.com/
It will be interesting to make this interstate but some bypasses of towns will need to be done along the way among other improvements between Fort Worth and Amarillo lots of money.
What time of year was this taken? I'm tempted to go in October vs September, but have no idea how early these areas get snow. I just know it can be earlier because of the elevation.
I've slept since I filmed and posted this video. I want to say it was shot during the summer months. If You're looking for Fall colors, they start changing around mid September and last around October 7-10th. Now Fall colors change is nearly divided into regions, they seem to start up north near this area and will end around Durango in October. They also seem to change last in the front range, so generally, when you see Fall colors in say Denver, you may have missed them in the Mountains. Also, its not uncommon to see Snow in late October but it can sometimes snow around mid October, so keep an eye on the weather just in case.
At 14:24 in the video is approximately where we hit rhe guardrail, taking out 47 ft of the rail, and then slid of the left, or north side of the bridge ... RIP to "Ashley Megan Deherrera" and "Tara Moore"
What would you like to know about the "1997 ghost bridge accident? I am one of the survivors... I was 16 at the time. There were 2 deaths, 1 paralyzed, and a lot of injuries and trauma.
What a great walk through history and especially since it was part of Operation Frequent Wind where former South Vietnamese president steeped on the deck to freedom.
I-80 from say Utah to Cheyenne can be rough in the winter time, its not uncommon to see it closed down every now and then due to weather, even during high winds. Other than that, its not a bad drive.
You know what? Bad drivers who are watching this video REALLY hate seeing dashcammers calling out other bad drivers. I've noticed that most hate for dashcam videos is from people who think they shouldn't have to follow the rules. Dashcam videos where bad drivers get called out is truly a blow to the egos of lawbreakers. So the lawbreakers watching videos like these will call dashcammers "hall monitors" as some pathetic insult and weak comeback. Funny, isn't it......how narcissists hate seeing other narcissists put on blast?
@@myroadtours6147you literally crossed from right lane to left lane in the turn in the first part, and when that car took a left turn on red arrow, you followed but cut that part out. Good grief
I guess its due to maintaining the road during the winter? But they will close it if it gets real bad. Once that happens, they can use the tunnels but they only let hazmat trucks through by themselves. This slows things ways down.
Right lol Some of those Colorado roads are brutal. I don't think I recorded it but I took my Raptor on a trip prior to this one and one road was actually rock crawling, people lived on that road. Later, I had to replace my shocks, struts, ball joints, tie rod ends and I swear I damaged a transmission cooler line as well lol
Drove it before Eisenhower Tunnel was even started to ski at Vail in 1966. Those were the days when it was all just really beginning in Colorado. OMG it was so much fun.
No, but you could possibly put yourself in a place where yiu could run across them. This isn't the first time I've seen them and know a few possible spots.
Hey there! SLS Member here, our guestimate count was over 4000 cars. Absoloutley insane night to say the least and we appreciate you uploading this to youtube! Our own footage of the meet will be coming soon
Sorry about that, I am starting to upload videos closer to normal speeds. In the past, they was sped up due to video lengths and lack of computing power. This video for example in its normal speed is probably an hour long. IMO: Unfortunately my truck has been broke down this summer waiting on back ordered parts. So it maybe a while before I can post up some more.
These are test cars and not mine. I was just driving around and happen to see and record them on my dash cam. We get a lot of test vehicles in the Denver area, they like to see how well they do at altitude and in the mountains etc.
Sorry about that, all videos are edited so that the sound on my end is medium but not all systems are created equal. I'll try to reduce it some more on the next video.
Not under Colorado law which states the left lane is for passing only on roads/highways with a posted speed limit of 65mph or faster. The posted speed limit on this road is 45 MPH.
This is a "Part 1" video for starters and I wasn't able to video the gas company digging a trench and installing the new line or the electrician wiring it up. It was close to plug and play having been installed at both the electric box and gas meter. So they really didn't have to do much inside the home. Anyhow, here is "Part 2." ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G7dClrbKPdk.html
The Lighthouse starts around 14:00 on left, you can't miss it. It starts to look like a small grain silo as I start to pass it around 14:20. As for the houses, Cape May is the second largest community of Victorian style homes in the U.S. second only to San Francisco. Thanks for watching.
I served aboard Midway from October 1976 to early February 1979. She was the 2nd of 9 ships I was on over the course of a 25 year career. One of the best times of my life.
It would really enhance the ENJOYMENT of the VIEWER , IF , you would slow down the Speed of the trip WHILE you're IN Midland , so the viewers who lived there previously , can identify streets and intersections and SEE how things have changed ! Speed it UP out in the country and slow IT DOWN in the towns , Please !!!!!
Sorry about that, I'm usually in a hurry to get through Midland...don't tell my mother that though lol The idea behind these videos has been more of a timelapse video than an actual full video. I have sense started looking into uploading videos in their standard length due to popular request such as yourself. I'm currently working on such a video but having major issues with my software for some reason. Now longer videos, say 30-60 minute recordings may still need to be sped up due to editing and rendering times.
I can't speak for others but I mount my cameras externally. So I opt for music vs loud wind noise. I'm currently working on a video now that I will upload using the original wind noise.
I don't have to put music but the cameras are mounted externally. The wind and road noise can be quite loud and annoying. I would love to use better music but copyright laws forbid it.
Good question. I had to look this up. 60% of the ship is wheel chair accessible including restrooms. So that is good. The hangers abd flight desks are huge and I believe their accessible.
I served on the Midway from June of ‘73 to June of ‘75 . Rode her from Alameda in September of ‘73 to Yokosuka Japan . Operation “ Frequent Wind “ was probably the apex of my time . I worked the arresting gear in the V-2 division. Remember it like yesterday ABE -2 Wes Bittick
Thanks for taking the time for ypu to share the video. Gracias....hope I can head that way one of these days and to the liquor store or butcher shop where it eas also filmed.
