As a professional table tennis player, I get the incredible opportunity to travel around the world playing the sport I love! I hope to share these moments and the lessons I've learned in my table tennis journey with you all.
I'm sponsored by JOOLA and use Nobilis PBO-c for my blade and Rhyzer Pro 50 for my rubbers.

Hi Lily, this is Redfern from England. I noticed you bat had a more level profile than many other athletes. Is it your normal style to avoid dropping the bat too low or behind you? I put the action on slo-mo and it appears your bat and waist go round at the same level and your waist propels the bat forward. Would I be correct? Redfern
Well put, and great form, Lily. So do you try to aim more for the left side of the ball when doing this shot or just go from down to up? I've been having good success with this stroke lately, but I still break down when they're overloaded with backspin. Almost like i know I'll screw it up so I just baby the shot, which doesn't work. Definitely need a little aggression to counter the backspin. I need to work the squat, and elbow move, into my routine. I think the elbow snap will give that extra oomph needed to clear the net. Thanks for the tip.
Wow! Not sure what impressed me more, you returning 155 of those, and that quickly, or Xu Xin, the human robot, feeding them to you like a BOSS! He looks like he's done that once or twice before. And yes, I know it's not really Xu Xin, but you gotta admit, their names sound pretty similar. You're awesome Lily! Thanks for putting US table tennis on the map. Sure wish Americans didn't see it as "nerdy" for someone to take the sport seriously. It's such a great, fast-paced sport. And Lily my dear, you do a great job at making table tennis look cool! studio Ghibli. hands down. the best movie ever. watching that movie was like having a nightmare in the midst of high yellow fever. i was in an another dimension for days after watching that film
I show your videos to my son and you are an inspiration. Thank you. Keep posting training, tips and life of a player. Lot of times it is not just TT, what is not taught is the life, sacrifices and dedication needed to excel in the sport. Please post videos on those as it means a lot to young players to hear from their idols.
Lily, congrats on your shiny Bronze medal at the World Championships. Also, you played an incredible match against Doo Hoi Kem. Could have gone either way.
Lily you would become an even better player by putting heavier topspin on the ball and not so much trying to drive the ball. The slower heavier spin loops are the most dangerous weapon available with the newer ball. Watch the confusion on all the robotic players of today when you give them the slow heavy spin ball. Their brains have been geared to muscle memory for fast fast rallies. When you break their rhythm they are all lost at sea. Listen to my words and your game will go through the roof and it goes like this.( Stop trying to beat them and let them beat themselves) Too many players I have tried to teach this won't embrace it for fear of losing, sad but true.
Did anyone notice she has an unusual forehand grip. Her fingers do not wrap around the blades handle when doing this technique. Is she using more pressure on the thumb on the backhand side or something to assist the loop. The shot she is demonstrating is not a Backhand Loop but a Backhand Drive.
