Oh no worries about missing the stream at all! And in this case I had started this piece a few weeks ago and then noodled with it periodically in between other projects, so the stream was mostly about deconstructing and analyzing the song ❤️

Thank you! I love this game and this was a fun little project to get started learning both Game Boy and Furnace. My wife (who didn't grow up playing games so she has no nostalgia association with chiptune) said she liked my version better than the original NES song, which was a very unexpected compliment to hear...

Thanks! This was the first sorta more detailed bit of chiptune transcription work I ever did. Got a little gnarly in a few places due to the reduced number of channels in 2A03 but I think I did ok. It was super satisfying to finish it up!

Thank you, that’s so kind! Yeah I remember when I rented a VB from Blockbuster when Nintendo did that promotion back in the day, I was struck by how strongly the games emphasized stereo, so I really wanted to use some panning effects in this piece. Thanks for listening!

Glad you enjoyed! Yeah that Mega Man drum technique is a new thing for me. It's cool but it uses one of the channels that would normally be utilized for melody, which makes the Mega Man music all the more impressive how they fit everything in together.
