Just finished watching your documentary on Amazon, so fun. Thank you for making it. I've been trying to start a magazine lately and the more I research, the more I appreciate things other people have done - the effort involved that most people don't see.
All great scenes, but the topper for me will always be the collision at the top of the staircase with Yvette, Wadsworth, Mrs. White and Mr. Green... I've seen the movie dozens of times so I know it's coming...and I still laugh like I did the very first time in the theater!
I love a good mystery like Murder on the Orient Express, LA Confidential, Sherlock Holmes and this to me is just as memorable because of all the one liners. Is it perfect or Oscar worthy? No, but the gags never stop and i love it!!
I totally get it. I drove over 3 hours from home to a screening at an Alamo Drafthouse in Ashburn, VA, just to watch Clue again with a live audience who was encouraged to say the lines with the cast.
Ok if I don't count Monty Python, Airplane, and Princess Bride, my fave is the phenomenal Madeline Kahn as Mrs. White in Clue: "I hated her SOOOO much... it... it... flames... flames on the side of my face..."
My mom would quote this line constantly. I annoyed her along by quoting “I know because I was there.” Which was my favorite line. I forgot my brother’s or dad’s favorite quote from this but we all had one and annoyed each other with the quotes but with smiles. Aww childhood.
My fav part of the movie is Miss Scarlett saying: I enjoy getting presents from strangers men! Then the music 🎶 leading into the box opening! Same music for the Clue slot machines!
I've never seen the movie which I'm gonna have to get on dvd, but I did see the beginning where I seen the hot chicks on the roller skates the only thing I wanted to see at the time what can I say? I'm a guy. I didn't even know their names or characters for years now I know both: Kirsten Baker who played CandI and Deborah Richer who played Sunshine now I will have to check out the movie mostly because CandI and Sunshine are in it Like I said I'm a guy.
In hindsight, it was pretty dumb of him to give everyone a weapon and then the opportunity to kill under the anonimity of darkness after having been revealed as the one blackmailing everyone. Kind of a "did you really think anyone was going to take your side at this point?"
