There's a wonderful moment in Ending #2 of the 1985 cult classic, "Clue: The Movie" and it's all thanks to Michael McKean as Mr. Green. When it's revealed that the dinner the guests consumed earlier in the evening was monkey brains, Mr. Green excuses himself to the toilet to vomit. A lot changes while he's gone! He returns to the hall to see Mrs. Peacock holding Wadsworth at gunpoint! A lot can happen on a quick trip to the bathroom. His reaction in the background of the scene is priceless.

I've seen Clue hundreds of times, and I've never noticed Mr. Green's shock/dismay at Peacock's holding the gun. Wild.

In my reaction/recreation, I give Mrs. Peacock the back story of Willie Scott the lady from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", indicating that it is the same lady just under a new name, she moved on past Indy, and that is where she got the taste for Monkeys brains. Then married a senator for some stability in her life. My version of Mrs. White's backstory was that... Well, that would be telling. ;) I bought "Who Done It: The Clue Documentary" as soon as I'd heard it came out, I got the limited slipcase version. I even liked the special animated 4th ending sequence, but shhhh, that's another secret. ;)

@@ItLooksSoFake In my version I expanded this scene slightly. Wadsworth to Peacock: Monkey's brains, although popular in Cantonese cuisine, is rarely to be found in Washington D.C. It is because of you, that we have a Barrel Full of Monkeys, out back. Do you know how difficult it is to untangle them? Especially, when they know, that they're about to have their heads, cracked open, and their brains scooped out." Mr. Green: Is that what we ate? {Cough} I was hoping at least for Thyme {Tim} Curry. {Chocking, gagging reflex}.

It’s funny with this ending. It doesn’t really work. I always thought the Scarlet is the murder ending was the best one because there’s only one very minor flaw which is only about plot (Mrs. White no longer has access to government secrets and thus can’t be blackmailed by Scarlet) and not about how it was possible. Peacock being the murderer doesn’t work because it requires the secret passages to do the deeds but there’s no way she could know about them. The cook would not tell her assuming she even knew and she knew nobody else present. Also why did she do it? The chances of somebody else knowing her secret is minimal and killing six people instead of one only draws attention to a possible motive. She doesn’t have Scarlets motivation for wanting to blackmail people. Same applies to the most of them killed one person ending, Mustard kills the motorist via the secret passage but he couldn’t have known about it and it’s unlikely Evette would tell him. There’s other flaws there too. Still it’s my favourite movie of all time. At least for now but it’s stayed there for a long time.

Agreed on the endings. The Scarlet/Yvette ending is the only one that REALLY works with the evidence. And it has "1+2+2+1!"

@@ItLooksSoFake What’s also interesting about the Scarlet ending is there’s small 2-3 second clips of critical moments showing the viewer how it happened. Especially how and when Yvette killed the cook and why nobody heard anything. This isn’t true of the other endings. The fact Yvette was a killer is surprising too because she was also one of the victims and gives Scarlet plausible deniability since people assumed there was only one. That and Yvette is not a character in the board game so people wouldn’t have thought she was a viable suspect for being a killer.

I think Mrs White did have access to current secrets. My evidence? In the kitchen, Colonel Mustard asks Mrs White how many husbands she'd had. Her reply of mine or other women's, suggests that she was not only paying the blackmail with money, but also with information gleaned from sleeping with her deceased husband's colleagues.
