Using any kind of batter on fries is an automatic fail. Potatoes are capable of crunch without flour if you use tallow or lard. Also you're delivering an extreme insulin spike for no reason.
Maybe a simple recipe, but that is one hell of a lot of different ingredients and a lot of preparation, maybe I'm just lazy but it does not seem worth the effort for glorified French fries. I'm sure they are lovely though.
I drive a 340d Touring, my friend owns an S4 TDI Avant. They are very comparable in terms of character and performance. A lot of it comes down to personal preference, but not everything. What the S4 is objectively better at: - Quality of the interior (although I personally don't like that you can only get dark interiors) - Seats (depending on your body type) - Exhaust sound (although slightly fake) - Road/wind noise What the 340d is objectively better at: - Gearbox, there's no noticeable lag or hesitance - Steering feel (but not much, both feel artificial) - Ergonomics in general, especially iDrive system - Seating/driving position when you're a tall person The rest we think comes down to personal taste. I like the long nose mid-forward engine profile of the BMW, but I also like cohesive and refined design of the S4. Both are great GT cars, you can't go wrong with either one. But please drive them back-to-back, because, at that level, small details can make a big difference in the long-term enjoyment of your ride! And for the diesel sceptics: Just try a powerful diesel once in your life. You'll be blown away with the amount of daily useable power. Does a petrol sound better? Yes, arguably, if you like high-rev engines. But 6-cylinder diesels brings back that old naturally-aspirated V8 feel, both in terms of sound and torque. Totally agree that petrol is better in high-speed scenarios, like on the circuit or the Autobahn. But how often do you drive there? Plus, there's no modern petrol car without noticeable turbo-lag anymore. Trust me, I just tested the new M3, and it's there believe it or not. Once you've experienced the amount of torque and the lack of turbo-lag of big diesels, chances are you'll be hooked.
The kids screaming in the background is pretty funny. The only thing missing is their mom screaming at them to be quite but I suppose that's between the cuts.
