Hi we’re going to Alaska on Encore next may. We booked a club balcony cabin but can you recommend a good deck location? I believe we have the choice of deck 12,13, or 14.
@@susanhernandez8365 We had our balcony on deck 10. We like midship because the movement felt by the ship is minimized if you are toward center. Honestly I don’t think you could go wrong with any room you pick!
Would you recommend your hotel as good walking distance for Pike Place & the space needle? Also, did you consider a city pass instead of buying tickets for each venue? We sail on the Encore to Alaska in 2025!
@@Sunny-wd4pl we were straight up the hill from Pike Place which was an easy walk. We did walk to Space Needle too. If you don’t have trouble walking we highly recommend the Grand Hyatt. As far as the Space needle and Chihuly gardens we bought them in a combo pass. They were the two attractions we wanted to do. We highly recommend both these attractions. For the amount of time we had if we would have added something else it would have been too much to get done along with Pike Place and the big wheel.
Walk a short distance from ship to railroad depot and buy your ticket . You’ll save big bucks. I got last minute ticket for $96. NCL now charging $199, which is robbery.
@@atomicrancher3745 that may be true but there are times when the train is sold out and you take the chance of missing out on the once in a lifetime experience on this magnificent excursion.

So you can’t book the comedy or the shows on the NCL app? You have to physically walk to the cavern club and where is the cavern club? Do you know what deck or area it is?

So, seven miles from the city, too far to walk to. Did you book the shuttle for an excursion you took? Or does cruise line automatically take everyone in that far?

We are considering either Encore or Discovery Princess. Itineraries are identical but we have 3 teens, so leaning on Encore for more age appropriate entertainment for them. Thanks for sharing all the details. Which month did you go? We will sail in early May (going NJ to Seattle) for Encore and wondering if it would be very cold? And would May be already crowded although we chose off-season to beat the crowd. Also, how bad was disembarkation? We had very bad experience in other NCL during disembarkation. And from Seattle, we will have to catch the flight back home
Great video! At what time should we purchase the thermal suite? We purchased that when we went to Western Caribbean, but I don’t recall if we got it when we boarded, or online prior to boarding! Thanks for the information!
For the souvenirs. That ship alternates from the Caribbean to Alaska. The 1st time I was on the Encore it was the inaugural sailing in Jan. 2020, and we went to the Caribbean. Then a couple of years later (when you were on it) it went to Alaska. Now its back in the Caribbean. So NCL wouldn't make special souvenirs for where the ship will cruise. Who knows it that ship might be sailing from Australia after its tour in the Caribbean. 🤷🏾♀️
Thanks for the review. I was on the Encore 3 yrs ago right before the pandemic. And Im going back on for Christmas. Can the magnetic hooks be used on the doors for putting up decorations?
Yes this is Mr AV last name Rico I enjoyed all of the information that you gave on the trip to Alaska but I have some questions when you were in Seattle for the trip where did you guys stay at was it close to the port for the for the Norwegian in Coral was going to be at and what port number would it be. Did they have shuttle from the motel or hotel where you stayed at to go to the port twin bark Dot? We will be going on the Alaskan cruise on May 4th on the Norwegian encore but we are new at this so we don't know very much of anything any ideas will be very helpful for us to do the train ride that you guys took where do you sign up for it or I can tell you more about it how much was it for two.?
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt on Pine st. They have a shuttle to pier 66. The shuttle was $17 per person. You could walk but this is super convenient. We booked the train ride through Norwegian. This is a very popular excursion. I suggest that you book it early. And side on the left side of the train.
Yes thank you for the information that you gave that was very helpful that is very helpful I'm fixing to go on a cruise to Alaska with another friend and I will definitely tell her about this items however when I went to the park where it says more like more information on your page it did not want to open and when I get more to go to Amazon and look up stuff it didn't want to go there so I don't know what's going on with your page you'd be nice if if it was working correctly again thank you so much for the information
