😶 Got my hopees up and everything. lol I got a pretty good beard if you need anymore help.I am really looking forward to that one though.Anywho, thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for asking! That’s going to depend entirely on that particular fragrance’s suggested use protocol per the IFRA. Reputable fragrance oil suppliers should have this information listed on each fragrance’s purchase page or as a downloadable file.
Thank you for this info. I’m originally from Canada and moved to Mississippi because my wife was born and raised here. I had a beard business up there and want to re open our business here legit.. This helps a lot Thank you 😊
I'd honestly love to start my own beard care brand I just lack the knowledge. There are so many different brands and types of carrier oils and scented oils. It seems like it would take forever to lock down a good blend of everything. I wish I had some buddies that I could team up with and start something cool but I don't. The idea of it is very appealing, but the reality of it is something else all together.
I concur 💯 I've been researching mixing and blending fora bout six yrs now! I'm writing down formulas as we speak lol I'm always ordering shit off Amazon. It wud be nice tew have a Patna. Someone who shares the same passion. Let's make it happen!! 🙏🏾
It can be daunting, for sure, especially with a more crowded industry (some people mistakenly call it “oversaturated” when we, in fact, are in the first stages of such an industry), but start simple and move along with it. Test things out and try them with trusted friends who want to give real feedback. Then tweak as you go. May take time, but try it out!
I'd say the first step if you wanna start a beard whatever is.. 1. GROW OUT YOUR BEARD FOR A YEAR (minimum), so that you know what it is to own a beard and how to maintain properly and to love your beard. 2. Follow whatever Ruddy is saying .
Hey Shaun, that totally depends on the IFRA standards of each of the fragrance/essential oils you are using. Reputable suppliers will have that info readily available, my man!
This is weird....while I have been making my own oil/balm for years....I only jus thought about possibly selling it at next year's farmers market. These things can now read minds lol
Hey Aaron, it depends on what you actually order. If it’s a typical purchase and not our Beast Box subscription, it comes bubble baggied inside of a bubble mailer. The sub boxes have crinkle paper inside a Kraft mailer. Hope that helps, boss!
Hello just came across your video, I'm in the beginning process of starting up own Beard oil business, thank you for the usefull Information. One quick question I was considering starting off with three separate fragrances, do you think this is an OK idea or should I focus on one fragrance to start with?
I think starting with three is great. I’m sorry this response is late, but my two cents is that having three gives your prospective audience enough choices to like at least one without breaking your bank making them.

Hey Ruddy I need some help. I have set up my own lab/work room at home dedicated to grooming products I’ve been making for many years. My issue is, do I need licenses etc for making beard oils and balms etc?
Hey Aaron, great question! The short answer is no, not in the US. However, I would strongly urge you to register as an LLC for liability coverage, as it will create a protective buffer between you personally and your business should it ever endure litigation. It’s always preferable to use great safety and business methods for the coming day when the FDA will regulate our industry’s production, so stay conformed to IFRA standards and you’ll be ok!
@@RuddyManGrooming thanks for your reply Ruddy. I have an LLC set up and have liability insurance. However, I live in Las Vegas and someone told me that anything other than soap is considered cosmetic and I would need a cosmetic license, which you can’t get for residential manufacturing. Nothing seems clear at all and I really want to get my little one man business up and running.
@@Aaron83W I can’t speak for Vegas, but I and my compatriots don’t have required cosmetic licenses as our industry is not regulated by FDA as of now. That may change soon, but all of our products are considered handmade goods, and thus, more in line with artisanal products. I’ll have to do some digging and asking for you.
@@RuddyManGrooming hey Ruddy I called around today and spoke to some beard oil and balm makers in the state of Nevada and all of them said they don’t have a cosmetic license. I also tried calling and emailing the state about the license and everyone I spoke to at the offices had no clue…lol It’s game on, I’m going to start my business.
Hey man. I gotta say I love your videos. They are super helpful and informative. Keep up the good work and I'm excited for a shipment of season scents coming in!
Another thing is floating around, have you ever encountered that thing for bar tenders, called decunter for alcohol, the tip of it gathers 1 OZ each time before you push and pour it. What if you install that tip somehow into your invasion, or come up with some new unit for pouring stuff. By the way you had one mechanical dousator on your table, what's with that, it don't do any good?
I’d be interested to see how that tool works, although I’d bet it would be a bit too problematic with thicker beard oil blends. Might just work well, though. The hopper works wonders, but I tend to use it more for thicker mixes like shampoos, conditioners, and the like.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PhgpinWNmtM.html Here the guy shows in practice how to install and use it. But in your case your new tool could take the place of there bottle. And of course attached somehow to a vertical panel or wall. One way or another, we need probably only a dossing tip of it at least. Keep in touch.
Although you ain't no answering to me on instagram while you say talk to me. Still, don't you wanna complete that thing by installing that magic jar on the wall and put lace toward the pedal for foot. Thus one can work sitting, hands free, and the bottle's to be in front of the eyes, so one could see the level of poured oil.
Sounds like a good idea, but this particular funnel is already light enough, even with a full amount, to watch bottles being filled at eye level. It’s simply a nice tool that I’m throwing out there for new users to help them affordable begin pouring oils more effectively and accurately. Thanks man! By the way, your messages went to spam, so that might be why I haven’t answered! So sorry about that!
Thank you for this video. I wanted to start a beard grooming business a few years ago. Started experimenting by making a few different oils, then some things in life got in the way and I put it on hold. I think it's time now to get back to that mindset and see what I can make of it.
Hey Buddy Man. I really enjoyed your video. A lot of good advice. I've been making my own beard/body butter and have been seriously considering starting my own company. Was wanting to possibly pick your brain. However, I did not notice your email address in the description panel. Is that still something you would be willing to put up? Would love to connect with you. Thanks.
It is daunting, but there are SO many great and reputable wholesale/bulk suppliers that listing them here won’t help. Search engines prove useful for finding them…you will need to go digging around to ensure they have IFRA certification sheets/info on their fragrances, and then just simply make sure the products you’re purchasing as raw goods all line up as wholly natural/refined goods, with NO fillers…Ain’t nobody got time for dat!
This is why you always make sure your work station is prepared for such a task. Have proper safety precautions in place and nearby for easy grab, but honestly, if you’re heating up these raw goods to such a high heat that fire can break out, you’re probably destroying the nutritional value of your end product. Thanks for keeping us all vigilant on the safety of proper mixing, sir!
@@RuddyManGrooming I found oils so easy to mix, what's the big deal with beard companies? Well, I'm getting into make my own mustache wax. It is a pain to work with. The wax always is trying to harden has you add in the carrier oils and fragrances. And the fragrances, I found you have to add a ton of them to smell them. So that's why the products are so expensive. Sandalwood is astronomical ! !
I've been thinking about starting a beard grooming company for 15 years now. Now that I'm retired. I have to make a go at it. Great video. Many thanks. Congregations for you successful Endeavor. I would like try some of your products soon. Cheers and best of luck.💯
It depends on the maker, but most that I’m aware of sell by volume, and that can be due to several factors. Chiefly, because there can incremental differences in each separate container. They’re like people….looking so similar, but each has its own character. Thanks for the question!
Jimmy! This is Jon from Belief Hole. Just had to say hi cause your vid popped up in my feed. I absolutely love the smell of everything you make man. Just awesome stuff. Really looking forward to talking with you soon. Hope the beginning of fall is treating you well!
Jon, my man. Thanks for stopping in, brother. I'm SOOO excited to work with you fellas...my wife has to tell me to shut up about it. ;-) Just hit me up when y'all are ready and we'll get the ball rolling! P.S. EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO THE BELIEF HOLE PODCAST.
