@drumhead14 I've always had the best of luck with Crescendo with all of their equipment. As a matter of fact I upgraded my 4.5K to a Bass Clef 4K. My unboxing video is on my RU-vid channel
I have a close affinity to class ab amplifiers. Lot of people choose class d for high power subwoofers. I'm interested on why you chose to go with a class ab rather than a more powerful and same price and cheaper class d. Was it a preference or some other type of thing. Just asking, curious to learn why.
@jdmintegradp so this amp can be used on doors or subs. I have hurd similar amps on subs and it sould so good. I personally run class d. And if I ever used this amp it would be on doors for best sound quility.
Was thinking next setup of mine go sundown xv3 15s but i might snag me a pair of onyx 15s there 2500watts a peace for $600 not bad get an extra 500watts and save $100 from the sundown xv3 which is 2000watts a peace
@AlexMendoza69 other then selling I personally run these with some 8 neos. I love them. I can't vouch for the d.b. but as a drummer and musician u can hear so much from there speakers. Cross them at 80 and you'll love them
@OutdoorswithJRonnie oh God no. I had so many issues with it at 15 hours I traded n it in and got a scag sw32. I took good care of it. More then you're should with upkeep (just how I am)
I've been on the ropes about this, I'm deciding on whether to get the xfl's or the evl's, i've heard that xfl are way better but the prices are a lil high
I’m 99% sure I’m going to preorder the new platinum v2 sub. If I only have a 5k amp with strong electrical what do u recommend? 1 18? 2 15s? I got about 7ish cubes of space to build my box. Any advice is appreciated
A Qts below 0.6 usually means a speaker should be in a ported enclosure, while a Qts above 0.7 is better. suited for a sealed box. The Qts of this onyx is 0.26. Box must be ported or you'll leave out a lot of performance.
this is actually the amp i have lol i wish it had the dual power ground input but i have dual 0 inputs on her. wondered why i got it so cheap lol its a old model
5k or 5k Korean amp or bass amp is usualy the place to be around. If you're doing a Brazilian amp I usualy push a bass amp and not the other versions on them
It might hit 8000 wats, but it won't push it near as good as a high quality amp. Iv also found its not a very durable amp, it won't last that long. I'm used to dealing with Fosgate, JL Audio, and stuff like that. This brand is like soundstream amps, it will work for a few bass competitions, but it won't last long. Quality amps cost about a dollar a watt. Just fyi. 😊
I have an xr 12 dual 2 on a jp23v1.5....and I have had trouble blowing voice coils ....sounded amazing first couple months but it started making a popping noise and I have never let it clip but for second or two ....if it does I dial back the bass knob ....I think I got a bad woofer from the factory.....and I have reached out several times to american bass and offered to pay for a repair and they won't even respond to my emails .....sucks too I would really like have it repaired ....
I have a machine similar to this one that I bought brand new back in 2020. It's a little larger at 28" with a 420cc engine but looks very much the same as this. I wish I could afford my dream Honda with battery electric start but this one should last me until I can get that Honda. Cub raised its prices on these machines and over the last couple of years it went up in price by CA$1050. The Honda is looking even better since its snow blowers stayed relatively the same in price. I've had to do some major repairs to mine this year and spent CA$350 to overhaul the transmission. Otherwise I really like mine and I use it commercially so I can't really complain. Yes, I have gone through a few shear pins but like you it was due to my error. You can get a front light kit for about CA$120 and it seems relatively simple to install.
TBH, you could probably just run it w/o that front fan. OFC, it would feel silly doing that since you paid for that "3X" on the chute, but the blower would make less of a mess. You can find pictures of blower style single stage blowers(typically large industrial machines) which extend that shaft out and have "snow breakers" on the tip, but they are normally much smaller than the blower itself and are either kind of a screw design or just blunt beaters. When the diameter is smaller, the tip speed becomes less even at the same RPM. I'm sure the marketing guy that came up with that "3X" thing thought he was pretty clever, tho, lol.
I would immigine you could. But it really would suffer in deep snow then. 100%. But don't matter I got it for sale and going to get a ariens kraken today. I'll make a good video on that one
I've personally never hurd them. Good feed back from customers but I sell alot more of and personally run the sky high twitters Send me a message I can help u
Run!, do not walk, from this 3X machine. Only buy if you get a lifetime supply of shear pins from Cub Cadet and have an irrational desire to replace pins every 20 feet. Yes, I have the correct hex head grade 8 shear pins for the accelerator. It does not matter. The pins will shear in the lightest of fluffy snow. Seriously regret my purchase. Not an isolated occurrence either. Check reviews online. Stay away!!!
Is just reconed a team 18 I ruined and the coil smells pretty easy but it’s stiff as hell it’s only ran about 6 hours. Is this normal? I have a jp 63 with lots of power going to it so no clipping and there’s clip detector on this amp. Is it normal to smell pretty easy? And is this cause the spiders are stiff and the coils struggling? Or is it just cause it’s new?
Thanks for the review. I purchased a 3 stage cub cadet on tracks this year. I've had it out 3x this year and am happy so far. Our old 2 stage with tires would just walk over the snowbank, that's when I could get it started which wasn't very often and I would have to push and drag. I spent 3 hrs doing our long farm driveway and was not tired. It just walks by itself. If the tracks spin I just back up a little and go. My husband hit a frying pan with the 2 stage. The shearpins didn't break. That was an expensive day. I did find in the softer snow it did fall out the sides but was only doing a small area so no big deal. There was extremely deep snow between our vehicles and it just went thru it like butter. So far I am happy with it. We'll see by spring and the next two years how it will work.
You people will only learn the hard way. You replaced junk with junk. Cub cadet are disposable machines. Have you bought an Ariens Then it may not have failed and you may have been able to Economically repair the machine. But instead you went out and bought more junk. And in a few years you will replace this one. Why? Because the parts are so flimsy and weak, that the simply cannot stand the time. Purchasing a market leader such as Ariens or Honda, And the difference will be noticeable immediately. Plus if the machine breaks the parts are reasonable and the machine simply lasts longer, Much longer in fact. Good luck with that piece of junk cub cadet. How do I know? You are listening to the voice of experience.
Good video. I just bought the CubCadet XS3 66 SWE. It has a 420cc motor. I live in Iceland. I am amazed by the power in this thing and how far it throws the snow. This being my first year. I don't have any thing negative to say and just looking forward to next snow day. I would like to ask you if there are chains available for the tires? I find it struggles sometimes if the ground is ice or spikes?
Hia, thank you. And I'm not sure off the top of my head if there is or is not. I would immigine there has the be chains available. Worst case u could always change the tire size to a size the chain would expect. But I don't think you would need to go that far. I had a swe33 and man that thing was a tank. But don't make them like that anymore.
I've had mine for about three years and it is a beast. They tend to work great in larger amounts of snow. Also, with the knobby tires, snow chains aren't really necessary and I wouldn't want to put them mon my machine due to potential damage to the wheel axles.
