THIS ANIMATIC FUCKING KILLED ME. The symbolism of Odysseus killing his past self and dropping the infant again just- KILLED ME. I was STUNNED. I was legit NOT expecting that at ALL. And the fact past Odysseus is scared of his present self makes it FAR worse. Because in a sense… he became the very thing he feared.
The way my jaw DROPPED when he started killing his old self (gives a whole new meaning to “I’m the only one whose line I haven’t crossed”) and also the way you drew his expressions following that, he really looks like he’s going insane and it makes the song so much more impactful, you really see how violent and dangerous he’s becoming
The symbolism behind Ody killing his old self is mildly terrifying and cool. Also, I LOVE how you do facial expressions (both the "this is cool" way and the "Ody's Level Of Violence is really freaking high and it shows" ways)
dude this is actually so epic?!?!?! (pun intened heheh) but serisouly all the camera angles and the attention to detail is insane!! im trying to learn how to animate and im definifley going to come back to this for refrence :3
I love this animation! The emphasis and weight on the shoulder clap and Polites’ disappearing with the movement and emphasis being on his headband! Thanks for making and posting this animatic!
Since all have sinned, all fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) There is no one who does good. Not even one. There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks God. All have turned away from Him, so they are all worthless. There is no one who God considers to be good. Not even one. Their throat is an open grave, they use their tongues to deceive. The venom of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood, in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Romans 3:10-18) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) But God shows His love for us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) If you confess with your lips that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9) Everyone who calls upon the name of Jesus will be saved. (Romans 10:13) Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1) Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord! (Romans 8:38-39) 🥰 Moreover brethren, I declare unto you The Gospel; which you received, in which you stand, by which you are saved; if you hold it fast-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: How that Christ Jesus died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
3:00 this is probably my favorite part in detail of this animatic Odyssey when he says “ what if I’m the monster?” Look like he’s genuinely asking himself and I’d imagine himself using a insane chuckle like you would hear the come out of the mouth of the Joker or something but then immediately putting his head down and looking concerned as he gazes at his hands right after he just dropped the infant probably asking himself “ what did I just do? “ it really adds to the whole idea of this is the moment where his mental compass and morality shadows into pieces as he just wants to go home bravo ❤
I want rochi to animate the whole epic musical the character designs are literally the embodiments of the music person is leading through Also absolutely adore young penelope's and ody's design in man of the house seen the trailers and they're gorgeous ✨✨
Omg I’ve been a KH fan since I was a child and Epic the Musical has been such a passion of mine for a while now. It’s beautiful to see them come together
OHGGG I LOVE THE ART ITS SO PRETTY, THE COLORS ARE NICE. While the sword is anachronistic, it looks nice and clean and looks like a sword Ody would use (plus most depictions of Trojan War era stuff is too since they just make it greek instead of Mycenean, so why cant we have some fun)
This was so charming! I love all his drawings and his dog's "help" during his training montage. There are some nicely cinematic shots in this piece and I loved the storytelling along the way.
