Touhou fangame translator who frequently works with devs officially. I also make guides for official/fangame Touhou shmups, as well as videos on fangames that will likely never get translated.
"Was considering doing a LNN run, but Remilia changed my mind..." Yeah I was watching a video of an LNN (all spell captures) run by Yatsuzume and they considered this game nearly on difficulty par with LLoK because of how heavy the RNG is on Remilia, the books, and a few other cards
This one is really a struggle. The RNG always screws me over from stage 4 onwards. I did get to Remilia some times but never got a Lunatic 1cc. And it also sucks that the hitbox of the bubbles is bigger than the games after. In Kaguya's fight for example, it really feels like I'm just able to go through them as long as I don't touch the black part in her bubble nonspell, but in TH6 it feels like the hitbox extends more to the colored area which makes me stressed to go near them due to the weird hitbox size.
Bought this awhile ago and been thuroughly enjoying my current playthrough of it. This game has always been pretty elusive to me as I'm not fluent in Japanese (I'm learning but I'm extremely slow with it) so most of this game was pretty mysterious to me trying to play it back in 2011. Honestly a real treat to finally see this in English!
The game's store page is now available and in English for anyone who wants to wishlist it! Release is tentatively slated for July 31st. store.steampowered.com/app/3063050/_/
A link to the steam page would be great, so we can wishlist it. Otherwise, till August, I don't even know if I'll be alive, let alone if I'll remember this exists, lol.
So i bought the double pack of these games for the switch, does anybody if there is going to be somekind of translation or do i have to have like an translated walkthrough of those games
While it's not set in stone yet, the double pack will likely be updated to include the English translations of both games later on, though it'll be after DoDW has been out for a while and any outstanding issues have been fixed.
Extremely well-written and detailed guide for PCB. I've been using it as a reference guide to 1cc normal, which I can't thank you enough. Looking forward to your future guides!
Really looking forward to playing this one! I haven't been halfway through Sappheiros yet but this is exciting. It's been a real masterclass of turn-RPG's even for gameplay alone. Thank you so much for bringing this overseas, Hakanai!
The only real connections are mechanical things like enemies/skills present in both games as well as some running jokes between the two, so you can play without having touched Genius of Sappheiros.
