I've worked with Hachikumasoft to translate their classic Touhou fan RPG, Touhou Gensou Maroku W -The Devil of Decline-. Just like their former title, Genius of Sappheiros, its improved port with quality of life changes and additional content was previously only available on Playstation Vita, Playstation 4 and Switch, but now Hachikumasoft has released it on Steam.

The update that brings English to the game will be coming out in May 2024. You can follow the Twitter accounts below to be notified when it comes out.

This is literally my favorite RPG of all time. Beating out powerhouses like Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 7, and Baldur's Gate 3. Happy to see it finally getting the english translation it deserves. Hopefully Nightmare of Rebellion is next up after Labyrinth of Touhou Tri.

Bought this awhile ago and been thuroughly enjoying my current playthrough of it. This game has always been pretty elusive to me as I'm not fluent in Japanese (I'm learning but I'm extremely slow with it) so most of this game was pretty mysterious to me trying to play it back in 2011. Honestly a real treat to finally see this in English!

So i bought the double pack of these games for the switch, does anybody if there is going to be somekind of translation or do i have to have like an translated walkthrough of those games

While it's not set in stone yet, the double pack will likely be updated to include the English translations of both games later on, though it'll be after DoDW has been out for a while and any outstanding issues have been fixed.

should you play the previous game before this or can you play this without prior knowledge

The only real connections are mechanical things like enemies/skills present in both games as well as some running jokes between the two, so you can play without having touched Genius of Sappheiros.

Really looking forward to playing this one! I haven't been halfway through Sappheiros yet but this is exciting. It's been a real masterclass of turn-RPG's even for gameplay alone. Thank you so much for bringing this overseas, Hakanai!
