Sir, even though I can't afford your services , there was a reason for learning piano. Amazinz at puanot friend teacher, I'm learning disabled will you please be my friend, please, sir
❤ I loved this from triplets to Belleville My only criticism was that it didn’t last anything like long enough on the CD and I’ve got this glorious version thank you. I really really love what you do with this.
Thanks Jack. Yes, I've done most of op. 10, but still have a couple to do. I'm recording an album of them next month of 8 Etudes from op. 10 and 2 Etudes from op. 25. I'll post here when that album becomes available on streaming services.
Hey Barry! Nice to hear from you. Wow, so you remember that piano?? No - I sold that piano right before I moved to Montreal in 1999. I'm playing a Yamaha CF3S in a beautiful, intimate concert hall in a gorgeous historic building called La Chapelle du Bon Pasteur, part of which was still being used as a chapel. Sadly, it burned down nearly 3 years ago. It's a great loss for the musical community here in Montreal, as they hosted free concerts for the public and we all played on their concert series.
@@matthersk I remember that piano as being longer than a concert grand [and taking up the entire living room ;-) ], as this one also appears to be extra long.
Hi Tania, thanks for asking. I don't have a solo piano score for this version, I only have a solo piano score for the simpler version on the soundtrack of the film Les Triplettes de Belleville. However, I do have a score of this version for flute and piano, and can make a solo piano version from that, which I'll gladly do. It's just a question of time at this point, but I will get on it as soon as possible. I can say that I'll probably have it ready in around a month to 6 weeks from now. You're not the first person to request it, but I see you're a serious musician and I'm happy you're interested in a score of this piece, so I'll get to work on it and will let you know as soon as it's ready :)
If I can ever achieve even a hundredth of the musicality you infuse into your performances, I will be a fulfilled musician (or is that a contradiction in terms? haha). In the meantime, I will keep enjoying these recordings of your marvelous playing. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and skill.
Thanks Maria for your beautiful comment 🙏. Music is the highest form of self-expression. Sometimes we can give more than others, but we never stop trying to achieve the perfect resonance of communicating our soul through music. I’m absolutely sure that’s what you do yourself:)
Mr. Herskowitz, 😍 After reading through the score I delightedly received, Opus 10/3 became a whole lot easier to play in the original version! Then I thought I’d listen to your performance again - during which I smiled endlessly, but realized not all of this performance is written down! So it’s time to hunker down and learn to play more jazz, et al! Thanks so much 🤗 eLi🎹
I’m not sure if my comment posted so I’m pasting it here!?! 317 views in six years and no comments; that’s a damn shame. Extremely creative concept, content and exceptional rendering of one of Chopin’s greatest Études. Much obliged and greetings from the boondocks of Japan, where I am developing a music festival for both classical and jazz musicians. 🤘 would love to connect with you. eLi🎹gARF, piaNOwarist

Thanks! Yes I did, for the most part. Just missing the improvised solo in the middle section, but it still works fine without it. I’ll adjust the score for that and make it available on my website next week. I’ll let you know when it’s up!
