Why the valve? Obviously it's a needle valve so simply reducing flow while allowing pressure, but why? How do you know when and why to adjust it?
@luciantaylor9238
@luciantaylor9238 4 года назад
I use the valve to bleed out any air, I tighten it when there is just water coming out. I wouldn't be able to fill the vessel if I didn't so this any presence of significant air could result in the piece exploding due to airs compressibility

@@luciantaylor9238 Awesome, thanks! I had assumed the valve was on the fluid in, not the line out. Makes much more sense now.

Hello again, I noticed you started raising right away. My guess is you started around the rim so as to to compress the metal to keep it thickened. True? Why did you not start with sinking?

Hey. I'm a little late to the party. What are you wrapping your stakes and anvil in and why? Thanks for sharing.

Looks like argotect ?? mixed with meths not a great chemical to inhale but does a great job of protecting from fire stain

I would just like to say that from what I have learned each pass should be in the opposite direction. Doesn't look like that was done here.

I also learned raising was opposite direction each pass. I learned this from Edwin Niemi. A silversmith who taught at Illinois State University.
