I know i literally just commented, but as the video continued i realized this is a literal gold mine of information. Been reading and watching videos on these types scientific studies and putting allot of stock in the results. Turns out most of these studies are extremely flawed as you have listed many variables not taken into consideration. You are doing gods work keep it up!

Damn I thought I found a vertical pull that got easier at the top and heaviest at the bottom that i could do at home :/ I was a little suspicious though and had to check it out. I admit the math was over my head but thanks for clearing that up for me. Is there any way you know of to achieve this besides special machines at the gym?

My issue with this is the degree of hip flexion one is in at the peak concentric point of the exercise. Otherwise I love the ecentric depth and the premise of this machine.

Would it be hardest in the mid range? Because though the moment arm is furthest at the top are body’s lock out is also strongest at the top

Hey there. I enjoyed your video so much. I have been trying to research for a vid similar to yours that really educates everything in this vid.Your vid for sure reminds me of the channel of Dr. Ethan. Ethan's explanations are totally insightful and he actually helped me a lot on my studies. He is a helpful medical student. Go check out his YT out and give the health enthusiast a subscribe here! ➡️ #DrEthanCare

Is this harder than a barbell squat?
@paul_standell
@paul_standell 3 года назад
That's super open ended as question. It'll depend on experience with the movement (most people have done a lot more Back Squatting than Pendulum Squatting). The structure of you - some people suit Squatting super well, others, like myself not so much. The pendulum has the weight further away from the axis of the machine than a Barbell does, which means you'll need a lot less weight on this than Squatting.

This reminds me of the Jay Z line in Moment Of Clarity when he said something along the lines of "I can't help the poor if I'm one of them so I got rich and gave back so it's a win win."

What about performing hip abduction and then lifting?
@paul_standell
@paul_standell 3 года назад
How do you mean? As in perform the abduction before the Bridge? If so, yeah, it doesn't matter which you start with. Most of the challenge from this movement comes from the band pushing in continually rather than the floor pushing up (if you're unsure, try it without the band and you'll find out how easy it is without the band challenge). Or did you mean something else?
