Hi, I’m looking for a video that explains the instincts L2 for goalie, I cannot find anywhere how to explain how to use it. This is for NHL 24 if you know the answer.
Lil update, I played 10 matches of goalie in the 6v6 mode as a walk on every time. 1st game I had 9 goals against me. 2nd I had 11. But the third game I realized it’s about just being in position, and only Let 2 go. Games 4-7 NO GOALS!!!!! 8,9, and 10 Had one Goal against. Is this what y’all want in a goalie or no?
I think for my part I would say like, we need 80% less butterfly. Great reading of plays and skater movement here but unless the puck is in tight and coming towards the net being in butterfly slows the movement time pretty significantly. Could even probably make some of those "extra" movements and get away with it if it was speed boost + left stick with decent agility, and turn some of those Sportscenter instinct saves into much more controlled left stick saves. I think there's a lot of potential here though! Only other thing I see is on the very first one is to look at the stick positioning of the player with the puck that makes the final pass. If he's going to shoot from the spot you freezeframe, he's going to take a split second to move it back to his forehand (or else he gets a wimpy push shot down the middle) which can allow you to cheat pass SLIGHTLY and twitch to shooting side if he pulls it that way.
Good work with the video and the clips 👍 I've actually never seen tutorial of how to use instincts. So that was good to see. I think I have enough going on buttonwise trying to even hit turbo at the same time 😂
I went full PC for gaming and the one thing that i regret is not being able to play Chel anymore. I seriously think about buying a console just for chel but then i realize i simply cant justify it. God i miss playing goalie. On the video, maybe it's a style difference, but on those early one timers, I'd argue he needs to be more aggressive in the crease and right stick the one t right? Or did the mechanics change since '20 that much?
I really wish NHL would finally come to PC, since they’ve now grown to cross play. As far as the right stick, we may make a future video on that as well. My philosophy is that most saves can be made with left stick + speed boost, if you have good reads/ positioning. It’s for those in tight quick 1Ts, where it’s also harder to cheat on it that I’ll recommend using the right stick.
@@mylittlerevvy2371 yeah we think the same way. I know I was topping the PS goalie stats leaderboards by being obnoxiously aggressive and square to everything but middle sitting in butterfly worked so well that a lot of people would just do that until players learned to take one t angles that can't be covered consistently. God I miss it lol
@@KaleEmAllThe middle sitting era was a crazy time lol I’m glad we’ve gotten to something closer to realistic, but of course the game will still differ from real life a bit.
Really gonna miss you, man. Youre 22 vids taught me 75% of what i know as a goalie. Really appreciate these simple but highly effective videos. I look forward to seeing you around the community. Thank you!
Been awhile since I’ve seen your vids and awhile since I’ve played NHL. You helped me develop my Goaltending in NHL 15/Legacy on old gen. I wish you well.
You inspired me to strive to be the best possible goalie I could be and chase the highest levels of this video game. If it wasnt for you I probably wouldn't love this game nearly as much as I do now.
So bummed, I got to where I am today because of your videos, I wouldn't have joined LG or started playing online NHL seriously without you. NHL has been a pretty significant part of my life the last 10 years and you've been a big part of it. We'll miss you buddy <3
Glad to be a part of your journey my friend! I’m looking to pass the torch on to these guys. Someone younger with fresh ideas and passion should be helping you all out! Thanks for your support, I literally could not have reached as many goalies as I did without your views and likes
This channel made me a better goalie and I had way more fun playing Chel as a result. Was even ranked for a short time and wouldn't have been anywhere close to that without you all. Thanks for everything and good luck!
No, thank you man 🙏🏼 I started watching you in when i first played goalie nhl 2019 and I was always in the top 200 for the longest time because of you! I dont play much now but when I do, I still use all the tips you've taught me. So thank you so much and fair well ✌
Devil! Miss ya pal. I’m doing really well these days I’m very happy with where I’m at. This channel helped me learn a lot and contributed to my growth so much. Happy to hear from you and thanks for your support all these years! You’re a cornerstone BTP member
i just got nhl 21 & i started playing goalie cause i like being goalie or making saves even from the older games when they never had it i always wanted to play goalie, but when at the start when you talk about “be a pro & ai” you mean like it’s completely different from playing ppl online & the ai all have different strategies & shoot different? & does the goalie block it self cause sometimes when i do the low stance it does a auto save & sometimes when i use the right stick it saves & sometimes i get scored on kinda makes me mad but still learning. but i like playing franchise & career mode in all games where you can control 1 player such as madden & nba & fifa so just wondering if anybody got tips for offline play can’t find any videos
Manoftheritt played a bit of nhl 24 as goalie and it looks like it's different. Will you try to post some videos about it or are you just done with playing NHL and / or this channel?
