The goalie build I use. Hybrid 6'4 195lbs quick recovery 1 magnetic 2 and my specialty is cross crease. Goalie stance 52. Camera angle: Fixed. You should really give it a try!:)
As for rebound control, one thing I've noticed is if your defense allows an attacker deeper than them around the net, the game likes to kick out the rebound directly onto the attacker's stick or close to it. I've seen it enough I'm convinced it's a mechanic, and not always an elite player perfectly aiming a shot for a perfect rebound (though I suppose a player having the recognition to realize the attacker is deeper and thus taking the shot to exploit the mechanic is nearly the same thing).
i'll give u a tip. go out as far as u can and slowly retreat, matching their speed, and keep you chest squared with the skater's chest. if you are able to stay with him ur gonna be ok
ive noticed that at times your frozen as the goalie and you cant move until the other team scores, is there anything you can do in these situations? i wish they would allow the user more control on making saves one stick for glove side and other stick for blocker saves
Nice in-depth video. G in '21 is soo much better than in '20. My main problem with G in '21 is the bad animations on slap shots and one-timers. Many times when I watch a replay of a shot that got by, I find that my G's glove arm moves to the inside of the body when it shouldn't. I run a vision of 95, Glove High 92.
Those specific chances are way harder to stop this year and some of the animations look funny. Also check to make sure you aren’t screened at all (look how easily we initiated screen effect with the vision test).
@@betweenthepipes Yeah, some of these are shots from blue line with no one in front of me, it absolutely drives me crazy. Doesn't happen as often as within the first couple months. I'll save 3-5 and then all of a sudden the one you think would be easiest to save gets by lol.
As always clip em out and share so we can take a look! There’s specific scenarios I think might be OP but it’s such a fine line between bringing back deep sitting goalies and fixing certain snipes
The biggest thing I have noticed when it comes to making saves... weight. It’s just a theory myself and Deke have playing top end esports teams and tourneys we’ve found heavier goalies make more saves than lighter goalies. But with EA this could just be a placebo :)
I run the build you see in this video in the pro draft lobbies. 215 is on the heavier side and I perform well using it in those. It would be interesting to test weight but there isn’t anything on the surface that suggests it would do anything to cause that.
Stance is literally whatever you think looks cool and has no effect on anything but non-animations on shots. A previous video already established this.
I remember you talking about Hybrid getting better animations but we tested it out and every class is the same (we tried our best to balance the attributes). So that may be one thing!
Yeah there’s no advantage anywhere except arguably height (which I think we’ve all known since old gen). The attributes don’t do much. I wish they did more but it might be a train wreck
