Picked one up based on this video came back to fill folks in . My unit arrived with a leaking foster fitting Pumped it to 3,000psi only to have it de-gas as i bled the pump. i had to disassemble and re assemble the fitting. The screw in the fitting was to lose it needed 4 turns to reach snug and then ¼ turn back. O rings were fine. If you are using a pump, pay for the leak test, but keep in mind that it puts you pretty close to other offerings that might shoot just as well . Whats good - the is the magazine, side cocking, trigger, pic rail and stock. All of this other than the aluminum magazine is pretty much standard now days. However thats on rifles that have plastic everywhere. These feel like a bull barrel rimfire and have similar accuracy.
Ted, if you could, please list the scope mounts that you've chosen for this setup above in your description. I'm finally going to buy this setup as my first PCP air gun since now I can finally afford it. I'm going with the FFP Element Helix scope instead of the SFP and in 4x16. Also, I'd like to see a video from you about the scope mounting that you prefer and also what do you use for refilling the air? A SCBA tank refilled from a dive shop or do you have your own compressor setup? Thanks! You're saving me a lot of money and time as I do not like to buy junk. Thanks for these very informative videos.
I have a friend looking to get into the PCP world. He's been looking at The Marauder and the new Gauntlet. I forwarded this video so he can see this gun. Which of these 3 guns do you think would be best? Thanks
Robin turn to the Batman and said, holy Nancy Pelosi explosive diarrhea in your face with your hands to tied behind your back and no mask on Batman! I think this guy is really a Chinese robot trying to reflect and direct and eject while projecting a switch personality of AI origin on which air gun he likes the most!
Hi, Just ran into your channel today, like your video/ presentation, etc. subscribed today. You don’t have to hook me on the sport, I got hooked a little over a year ago( cause of RU-vid) . I had no idea Airguns’s have evolved into what they are. I am a 66yo guy, had a BB gun when I was a kid. Obviously nothing like these. As I said I am hooked now, I have built a rifle room / range in my basement, soon to have a range in my backyard. I have quite a rifle collection started, Daystates, Evanixs, BRKs, Western sidewinder / rattler, JTS, Air Venturi and I am sure there are others I am forgetting, something over 50 rifles and having a blast doing it. Honestly not sure why the sport isn’t more popular than it is, the fact that it’s backyard friendly, you can do it in your basement, and yes I have gone over board ( just the way I do things, says the guy that has 7 corvettes) . But you are right for $500 to $750, you can get started and have a lot of fun. Take care and keep up the good work.
The scope I bought it’s got a Red Cross n a green cross n I bought a black rifle pump up to 3500 pressur. It a gun he talk about I got it at a gun show in Waxihachie convention center off of 287 last real cold spell we had it cost me $300.00 good combo it shoots 22pellets its an tx there in lewesville they buil em at all wanted one found one at trades day flea market for $200.00 too $250.00 I waited long enough
I have a spring action GAMO Swarm 22 rifle and I really like it and don’t have to worry about having an air compressor and it shoots between 800 ft./s to 1000 ft./s. Depending on what kind of pellet I use. The gun was a lot less expensive than I thought but buying magazines was interesting and they are spring rotary magazines. Really nice similar to what you were shooting. Not all metal but they still work. Excellent thanks for sharing your video. It is interesting.
Hello Ted! Been following you for around 13 years! You inspired me -at the time- to buy my FX Wildcat .22, what an awesome air rifle. I was wondering if you have done rat hunting at night. It would be such help, since that was the main reason why i got my FX. Thanks for your answer and videos!!!
All hail King Ted!!! You are the reason I am looking at buying PCP rifle. I took many a rabbit as a kid with an old multi pump, 22 air gun (at close range). I bought a 10/22 Ruger, and over the decades have taken many a rabbit with it. Now, I can shoot 100yds with an air rifle? WOW! Thanks Ted More videos please........
Why didn’t you adjust your hammer spring when you were shooting the gun the day before normal you shot this video. Do you know what you’re doing Tad instead you had to make that gun look bad purposely right ted . And another thing why only those two pallets when you shouldn’t FX Eragon do you have about 30 different types of ammo you try through it. I have seen nobody shoot those guns 100 yards and get under an inch group every time, so what’s your problem champ? I think your head is so far up Frederick from F ask his ass that you’ll do anything you’re Lyle cheat whatever you have to do to make other guns look bad Ted you need to go right the fuck back where you came from go away.
Hi, great review, im about to get this gun in 22. will be my first pcp, can you give me the pump you would buy in the 125$ canadian range please. Thanks, looking for a compressor but not this years since i have to get the gun, scope, ring and pellets.
