If you told me that by 2023, I'd have worked as a mechanic at Ferrari and been surrounded by Supercars, competed in World Time Attack Challenge at Sydney Motorsport Park, and also at Mount Panorama in Challenge Bathurst in a Supra... I'd probably say it was a bit of a stretch, but hey... they happened, and most recently, I took up a new challenge, which was to drive to the Centre of Australia and back! And not just by following the highway the whole way...
Watch My Supra to Uluru video's to get some insight into how that adventure went!
Not having too many video's of the past, has me now wanting to relive some of those experieces, but this time, put them on camera, to show everyone that cars shouldn't just be garaged for years until they become a burden and just get sold...
Life's short... Make as many memories as you can! If I can film my adventures, and make someone else laugh... Then that's a good day in my books!
Oh you can’t enter it now, all the entrants have been chosen but it’s the one where we go against the highway patrol and there’s a show and shine as well Nice! New suspension sounds like a good time! Which suspension did you get?
@@Matt_JZ hmm, might just come and watch then if it works out. Bought some BC racing coilovers, height adjustable, camber and damper settings. Fit for street and light track driving according to the brochure:)
@@BastiaanOlij oh sick yeah I’m wanting to go for bc if I can eventually or even mca. Yeah the event is free to spectate and there are quite a few thousand people that go. Pretty cool event to be at so if you go, come say hi because it’ll be a bit of chaos for me to find you haha
Yeah I thought it may have been your comment! I would’ve let you rev the car too but we were way too close to the gtr behind us and I didn’t want to mess up his front end 😅
I love this comment because a lot of people are saying similar and I understand it looks that way but what you’re actually looking at is the first time I’ve approached this car from the main straight and I’m not fully aware if he knows I’m behind him. As a safety measure and because of the rules and regs, I’ve held back and watched his behaviour. I love a good dive bomb too and I overtook him after this, but yeah I’m not willing to risk damaging both cars over a little overtake manoeuvre or get black flagged at this event where we were told strictly no overtaking in corners. Once I passed him, I couldn’t see him after two more corners he was that far behind… I’m not some god driver, but I have enough sense in me of when to stay back and observe. I just wish others observed and moved out of the way. No point holding someone back. If they can keep up after I’ve passed then great but I just gtfo when someone is faster than me and it keeps traffic flowing. Unless it’s a competitive event where we’re trying to hold position but that wasn’t the case here
Oh I did. This snippet is just as I came up to him and had to gauge what he’d do. Rules and regs also wouldn’t allow for mid corner overtakes so I had to hold back my typical dive bomb overtake
Rules and regs won’t allow my favourite dive bomb approach. It was a team event so didn’t want to risk getting us all in trouble. I personally move off line all together and slow down til any and all faster cars pass and then I continue if someone is faster than me. Just my way of not being equivelant to the guy in the fast lane doing 10 under the speed limit and pissing off a train of people behind them
I did once I got to the straight. Unfortunately the fear of getting black flagged for overtaking mid corner had me holding back and hoping he would move which is what I do, and I slow down on purpose to let the faster car pass. This guy would go full throttle after the corners and he nearly came off a few times leaving me what I considered unsafe gaps to risk mine and his cars to overtake. No point holding someone back as far as I’m concerned unless you’re in an actual competitive event or trying to battle your mate but otherwise… the slower car is just unaware or just arrogant and wants to think they can keep up…
Looks like he’s staying wide to let you pass...but you didn’t. Or couldn’t. Whatever. Next corner he’s on the inside and stays there to leave room…and all we see is you’ve not set up to pass again. And then that’s the end. Your welcome.
I guess that’s what perspective does. This little snippet was just as I came up to the guy and what you may be unaware of was the threat of black flags if we overtook mid corner. When I let someone pass I also just get off line and off throttle until they pass to keep it what I consider fair and safe and then I’ll try catch them but if I can’t then everyone is happy because they’re not being blocked and I’m off on my merry way 🤷🏽♂️
