Another lovely watch mate, thanks , loving your videos its like im withu on the bank 😮... them Ribble Barbel scrap well dont they... plenty of fish for you on the meat.. conditions were perfect a very well timed session that 👍, all the best mate, tight lines out there 👍🎣
Cheers Lee. Out of respect for the members, I’m not going to disclose the location on here, sorry ( downstream of there) but techniques work all along Ribble when conditions are right tbh thanks
Fantastic days fishing! Well done. So good iv subscribed 😂. Could you please tell me the make of your landing net pole. Looks like it’s what I’m after. Cheers. Rich .
bloody awesome session mate! you certainly hit that right, and amazingly simple method! no magic formula groundbait mixes, just spicy meat! when its low you can catch barbel a little way upstream from there using rolling meat, and a mate of Joel's has had several Barbel to double figures on fly during the low water in August! really I should have been doing this instead of wasting many fruitless hours in pursuit of sea trout on the Ribble and Calder. One criticism - more editing needed - I've had to watch this in 3 parts to find time! 🤣🤣👍👍
Fantastic fishing Mark..a real red letter day with some beautiful barbel and chub on the running lead and meat combo..Proof that in the right river conditions you can catch barbel in the daytime..also proves the power of additives and scents are well worth experimenting with..some great spices to be found on the local supermarket shelves..all helps to boost confidence.. Well done and tight lines! Great video again Mark 👏😊🎣
Edge of my seat that. I was so engrossed I left the bath running, and there's water dripping through my living room ceiling. lol, well done, amazing film 😊😊😊
Lovely spot to fish on the canal. Good session but that rain!Saying that bright sunshine might be lovely to sit in but usually puts the fish off. Thank you for sharing , loving the vids and take care👍🎣👏
I went out dropshotting with worm yesterday and pretty much every cast some up to around 1lb but getting followed back by much bigger ones. If you ever fancy a trip over my end your more than welcome to
We used to call that stretch the pony field, I always found the other side of the navigation bridge more productive especially where the stream flows in where the old scrap yard was, seen some very big fish of all species off that peg and many fond memories too. You'd have won match with that first bream alone in 1980s Last time I fished the cut I was up the boatyard at Riley green that's a good spot worth the effort to get up there.
Thanks for your comment. Good info cheers. My aunties used to live at Mill Hill , so I fished the Navigation area a few times way back in time! Yeah, I must give Riley Green a go, thanks
Another relaxing session. Can’t beat canal fishing for a real challenge. Ahhh no umbrella well done keeping fishing and filming. Nice net of fish to finish the day. All the best tight lines Pete 🎣
Love the videos, Would be great to see how to use the slider float as I have some deep stretches of the river near me and its like fly fishing trying to cast it out on a 6foot rod😂
I don't float fish myself anymore, I took up mobile lure fishing to get more exercise, but when I did, if I wanted to specifically target perch then I always found that fragments of dendrobaena worms were the best bait, other species seemed to leave them alone for some reason
Top venue there, i've never been anywhere in my life that made Tench fishing so accessible! Complete contrast to the venue Dave and I often try winkle them out! Keep the vids coming mate 😀, we have a gift for you which I will PM you about now!
It's definitely at top tench and bream water, some nice roach, too. Shop onsite and even a campsite and pub! Thank you very much for the gift and your message. Much appreciated.
Very enjoyable videos mate, I'm glad to see the banks bursting at church a whilst ago hasn't destroyed the fishing, I feared the worst as there was some large schoals of bream in the stretch that burst it's banks, I hear Huncoat is a good area too.
I had a walk along side this canal in bramley leeds and its beyond maintenance full of weeds amd rubbish thrown in.. great part of teh day was spotting a large terrapin in the canal had to google it but yeah apparently there about so keep your eyes put
Thanks for the lovely video Mark. The nostalgia and memories evoked when fishing somewhere we haven't been for years, and those who have sadly passed away since those days. The older we get the more precious these memories become...ghosts. oh what i'd give to fish with those people again. Lovely section of canal there Mark, and the bream was a cracker. When my net came apart like that i sewed it up with dacron...it seemed to do a better job than monofilament. Tight lines mate, and i look forward to your next film👍
Thank you very much Mike. Very true words. Good days and happy memories. Hopefully, we can all continue to create more good memories that we can look back on. Thanks for that cheers
Another nice video Mark..always good to reminise about the days when we first discovered this magical sport of ours. I never actually owned a wicker basket, started off with a blue Shakespeare box and then graduated to a green tubular steel and canvas efgeeco seatbox which had two front and two side pockets on.. How times have changed. 😊🎣
Very enjoyable watch again my friend 👍, love the tale of the dead squirrel 😂, lovely looking canal section full of nostalgia for you.... nice Slab that too & an escaped Eel 😂 brilliant, all the best pal 👍🎣
Just watched your video on the canal brought back some lovely memories. When I fishing with my dad sometimes with my brother who sadly is not with us anymore. I also fished matches in Blackburn also at Burnley. Nice to see ordinary angler's fishing. And not commercial water's. Look forward too see more videos.
Great vid takes me back as well but use to fish it the Liverpool end around melling/maghull stretch early 70s good for tench then but use to see me off as was t experienced enough to get them out but great memories
Yes mark takes you back eh mate, you were lucky mate we never had no money for the bus, walking home with your wicker basket over your shoulder ,not a lot of tackle but always had a bottle of water and a few rounds of bread and a jar of meat past if we had any at home, the good old days eh mark, out their till about 10 ish the walk over the fields home mate, tite lines
