Thanks , some great info ... I do 90% of my fishing on the canal and use bread 90% of the time .. sometimes it can fish itself out but I've been using 4-6mm expanders (red krill , greeen betaine , F1 sweet) when that happens topped up with a bit of fishmeal groundbait , it sometimes kicks the peg back off feeding
Very thorough demo, Mark . As a non competent match angler, I've often wondered why bother using bread punch rather than tiny random pieces of flake? I seem to get lots of bites in colder weather with stillwater roach but miss 95% of them waggler fishing. But being lazy I'm just pinching tiny pieces of flake on rather than using a punch!
Thanks mate. A selection of punches are a good investment. Great technique in winter. I’m going to head onto canal next week or two for a Breadpunch session. Tight lines 🎣
