So they have it locked up because it’s been broken into and vandalized so much over the years. Keeps tourists out too. Those are vents under the house. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is too funny. I have lived here my entire life. I can assure you that there are NO cannibals in this area. Those sounds are probably people just trying to scare you, because people come up there all the time. And the tree the hung her from was in the middle of the cemetery from what I’ve saw and been told over the years. But good video though but you need to research more for sure. Very misleading. A lot of those unmarked graves could be of slaves or people that couldn’t afford headstones not all babies. The very small graves are of babies or children. The Garland babies if you will look closer or pull up on find a grave you will see one passed the same day she was born the other was a month old. Doesn’t mean “stillborn”. Please again do research before you make false content just for views. Scary and interesting place for sure. Hope you enjoyed your visit.
You should go out into the Inverness swamps my buddy uses dogs to hunt deer a hogs he went late at night one time and something attacked 3 of his pit bulls and ripped through the kevalar armor vest on his dog then he sopposedly seen a half wolf half man perched in a tree
You are way cold dude , go to the right to that big tree with the angel . That's where Ms Tilley lies & where she was hung just not in the tree that's there , they cut the original one down 😊
Exactly I didn't go to the right tree, because I was on vacation and was told this info by locals. My wife was behind the camera and has never been with me on a investigation and was not happy about me wasting her time. Go watch my video's, NOT a f.cking one is fake. No need to fake when real shit is happening.
You should have done some research BEFORE you went. Part of the legend is: Only one woman - the witch - was buried backwards, which was facing West, so she wouldn’t be able see the 2nd coming of Christ. It is believed her ghost went into her sister and that was why they hanged her, but she was buried facing East, because she wasn’t really the witch. You didn’t find the tree nor did you find her grave. If you paid any attention, her grave is right under the tree where the stone bench is. There is a headstone for her (and for her sister), unless the church removed it so people like you would leave their church and cemetery alone. There are animals in the woods and people living in that area, so of course you are going to hear things. Also critters die under structures and they stink. Mountain sounds carry very well. I live 11 miles from the church. Sorry, but as scared as you acted, you need to find another profession. One of the noises you heard sounded like an acorn hitting a tin roof. The scream at the end was probably done by a local just for fun and to scare you done. Job well done. 🤣 Terrible video. You can find the whole story on RU-vid at THE CURSE OF THE TILLEY BEND WITCH by Dixie after Dark. Don’t know who they are but the information was done well.
In Europe and here in the US witches were not allowed to be buried in consecrated grounds. They were denied the dignity of a Christian burial. Instead of facing East to face Christ at the resurrection they were buried facing West. The accused witches at Salem were not buried in the local cemetery. But that may have changed through the time since the Witch Trials in Salem to this witches burial. Plus that belief may have been different in certian parts of the country. I had a couple of ancestors, one not that far back, that were healers and knew about other things I guess, who were NOT allowed to be buried in the same cemetery of their community but on the outside in unconsecrated ground. In Appalachia the Granny and Grandpa witches were healers and they were actually "Christian Witches, and they brought all those old world practices over with them from Europe. Many had Native ancestry and learned things from the Native Tribes on how to heal with herbs and wort of evil. They were members of their local churches and were highly respected as the doctors in those communities. Many of the incantations are Bible versus and the words "Father, Son, Holy Ghost" were often used. I guess Miss Tilley had a tragic life loosing so many family to illness and murder. I guess she snapped and did the unspeakable. Put a curse on that community. Those granny witches knew to do such a thing would come back on them, and condemnation was the result of ever using that knowledge.
We were up there yesterday evening… we live an hour away. The tree you pointed out in the video was NOT the tree she was hung from… it’s the one that stands solo in the middle.
Elizabeth Jane Bradley, the mother witch, is buried where you are at 15:14. I just went there tonight and saw a marker with her initials. That big oak tree is where she was hung from. legend says she was buried right where she was hung
I went at night and did investigation of the Chastain house and also of the church at night and during the day got some good photos also and videos as I'm also a decent relative of the Tilley's it was amazing to see and hear Elizabeth talking and speaking back to me and someone in the church also
Go to 27:15 and listen to the voice . That's not me I'm up to far and that's not my wife who doesn't even want to be there. Paranormal is about different events for everyone who goes there. I've been to plenty of places big youtube starts have been and nothing happens. That's how it goes sometimes.
I am the descendent of the Longs,Bradleys,Chastains,Garretts,We are creek descent and Aires to the confederacy so many stories handed down who knows what is fact from fiction..I do know most of my heirs rode with the 6th Calvary under Col Smith and merged with the Tenn Vols.
I went on what was told by the locals. I couldn't research while in the middle of nowhere so I just went on that. Please do tell your side My followers would love to know the story.
Are you fully sure Heirs of the Confederacy. Elisha Stanley and his brother were drafted in 64 and kept leaving the army camp at Ellijay without permission (aka deserted) and finally got run down by a Confederate patrol in Sept and shot at home along with O'Kelly who was shot at the bank of the ford on the Tilly side of the river (old Aska road...now Shallowford Bridge Rd). O'Kelly and his brother had run away from his CS unit a year before and joined the EastTenn-US Cavalry volunteers. Aska/Rich Mtn/Toccoa was a troublespot for union sympathizers in the Chickamauga to Atlanta year of the war. The Stanley Settlement cemetery even marks them as anti-confederates on their modern gravestone. Is that written history wrong? I'm open to any other story as long as it is backed up elsewhere. I find history of the Garlands, Stanleys, Chastains... very colorful. I'm sure there are conflicting family stories.
Oh Angie so glad you took the break you need for your own Mental health. I know I miss your videos but your mental health comes first. I suffer with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks and I am learning that it is ok to step back and take care of yourself. Great podcast, enjoyed it!
