That's really interesting, I actually experimented with similar chemicals hoping it would change the color of the sparks. I'm sure there is somewhere

just add nacl to copper sulfate then add aluminum foil, the reaction would be much much faster

I understand gallium will destroy or corrode both aluminum and steel. I have seen an example of an aluminum seat post being removed from a steel bike frame with application of gallium. My concern is the steel frame. Does gallium take much longer to corrode the steel than the aluminum? If the process was performed carefully with small applications to the aluminum and quick clean up afterwards would the steel be safe? What would be the best method to neutralize any gallium that got away from me inside the frame?

One of the first? - I have used the zinc reduction V(V)->V(IV)->V(III)->V(II) in early 1980s on high school, following the vanadium chameleon experiment form a popular chemistry book. I have then "reset" it by careful dosing of H2O2.

I learned about the fact that Neodymium carbonate will dissolve a little in Na2CO3 or NaHCO3 solution and the color pink will change to dark green. I tried it and it actually turns green instead of pink, the compound I learned is NaNd(CO3)2. But in the video that doesn't happen, please explain this phenomenon to me

Amazing reaction, but i did some math out of curiosity and get to know that for 30% h2o2 and kmno4 the ratio u mixed here is not the stoichiometric ratio but still u got a vigorous reaction, from my math i got something around 1:1 ratio as the stoichiometric ratio , so is there any specific reason u added a bit extra here 85ml for such vigorous reaction ??? Thansk in advance ❤❤❤

Cool, shiny, non-toxic Aluminum Galinstan. You can add it to water, dilute ethanal water, and 40% Ethanol water and the Hydrogen oxide (H2O) produces Hydrogen (H2).

Hello, I know that these solutions were probably disposed of by you, but if they were actually preserved, could you try to add solution of hydroxide in order to test behaviour of each of the hydroxides? I am asking this question because I am preparing for qualitative analysis in national olympiad and cannot find well documented studies on vanadium chemistry.

Check out my Aluminum Galinstan making Hydrogen videos. I heated a crucible and mixed in Aluminum foil and Galinstan and made an amalgam. Then I made Hydrogen in water and in ethanol water. The trick is to heat up the Galinstan, add in Aluminum foil pieces, mix it while dry with a stick looking pencil or back of a spoon, and then add it to hot Hydrogen oxide (H2O, Water) to form Hydrogen gas (H2). You can weigh the Galinstan and also the Aluminum to figure out the ratio of Galinstan to Aluminum and percentage and calculate stuff. I want to make Isopropylamine freebase and then Isopropylamine HCl in the future with Acetone and excess ammonia.
