I saw Chris Rea in 1978 (Lady Mabel college) perform this song on his Whatever Happened to Benny Santini tour. His record label had him packaged as an Elton John type songwriter, he didn't play guitar all night. A few weeks later I saw Elkie perform at Sheffield City Hall, her first set was Jazzy stuff like Pearl's a Singer, then after the break her band turned into a rock band performing numbers from the Vinegar Joe repertoire and this song. I'll have to try it myself now.
Es muuuuy buenooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRACIAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!An enormous congratulations with the geographical distance that separates me from your beautiful country! You have a fan-follower in Argentina!
Cool picking tutorial. but the original is in Eb, chances are they played with the capo on the 3rd fret to be able to play open chords, nice tutorial nonetheless
Cool story. Would be cooler if Mr. Bishop confirmed this story or better yet, actually told the story himself. He's on this thread. As far as this tutorial go, unless I can do better, I don't make negative comments at all. It takes guts to do put yourself out there and open yourself for critisism. I'm grateful there are people put there who offer to help keep music alive.
Terry, nice video, nice singing. However it would be beneficial whether your intermediate or not, to be tuned to standard tuning so everything can be played in unison if your going to capo on second fret. Just saying sir. Thanks
