You know what I'm going to have to be honest I was driving home from work and I specifically asked RU-vid to play me some acoustic covers of Jackson Browne Pretender and you were at the top of the list I thought well you're at the top of the list for a reason so I gave you a go I didn't like it at first I don't know why I just didn't but I stayed with it and I have to say I'm almost Jackson Brown's number one fan I think you did him Justice very good teaching strategy well done sir thank you very much
This is a really excellent lesson in my opinion because it keeps moving forward with a minimum of chatter and it provides the vocal while naming the chords. Very good job. I've tried to learn this song for a long time and this is really helpful in clarifying the chords with the lyrics. I've seen a few different versions of the intro on guitar and this one is the best I've seen.

Excellent video Terry! I’ve loved this song since it came out in the 70’s. I recently watched a video of Jackson singing it along with CSN. It reminded me of how much I really loved that song and wanted to play it. There are not many instructional videos on it and I found yours to be outstandingly helpful. Thank you so much for doing it! Peoole without soul should stay in their lane. This guy plays guitar really beautifully, but that voice and his delivery of the song is just not appealing to the soul nor the ears. I've been friends with Jackson since I was in Junior High school, listen to him singing the song.
Don't be like that. Green looks ugly on you. His voice is great and he makes the song his own. Very soulful in my opinion. Not to mention this is a tutorial and not a cohesive play through.
@@humanimal5527 It's not judgement, constructive criticism if you will. I take my first playing very seriously. There soul your feeling is probably what I'm feeling which is in his playing. I just can't agree with the rest. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk though sorry.

This dude makes a free instructional video hashing out these licks and chords and saving the rest of us a lot of time. I just don't see the point to criticizing his voice. Of course Jackson's sounds phenomenal on it... it's his song and he's a world renowned professional musician. It's all good just be aware that creators, especially of smaller channels, read comments. If you're a musician you know how personally we take our playing. Have a good one.
