I have the same skates and notice its too narrow in the same spot. I need to wear very thin socks and not tighten the laces that much and that had an improvement but my feet still start to hurt after about an hour of skating. How did you punch out the width using heat gun? I'm considering trying that
I like both setups and have both frame configurations for my Powerslide Next skates, but the pavements and paths are not always that smooth where I live in the UK and I find the 110mm wheels do soak up the rough ground better.
I don't own this version of the prime but in some boots the Intuition has a little better heel lock... But honestly both are not the best in terms of heel lock (for me)...Reign V3 has great heel lock and comes with nice insoles 😉
You're such a motivation. What a progress! I'm 36 years old. Got back into blading after 25years or even more haha. Time is limited father of two young children. But i really do my free time at the skatepark. Thanks for sharing your progress!
Nice video, thanks a lot. It will help me decide If I should switch form 110 to 90. I fell I'm way to tall on 110s and the turns do not fell that smooth.
The FR1 90 skate sucks! I did all kinds of research before buying the FR190. I have been skating for 30+ years. I have a regular medium width foot, bought the correct size and the toe box on this boot was so wide my foot shifted around so bad especially on cross overs. I had the buckles ratcheted all the way down too. They were worthless. I even tried aftermarket liners and still to wide. I emailed FR directly 3 times about the issue and they never even bothered to respond. Terrible customer service and crappy fitting skates. I bought rollerblade twister and the crossfire and both boots fit really well. I’d never buy another FR skate.
@@mellowmoony nope I’m 46. I sold high-end shoes/boots when I was younger so definitely know my true foot width from using Brannock devices. Also been skating for 30 years. These skates are definitely made too wide. shouldn’t have to size down and crush my toes to make up for a wide boot. I’m not the first person to complaining about the width on the fR boot. I bought the RB Twister and the Crossfire and the width fits perfectly.
I think they made the H block too deep. I have Stealth with Famus wheels, get a lot of wheel bite. The V2 frame grinds better however the frame is too tall.
Back in the day I progressed so much past some really basic tricks. I could do an ally opp fishbrain before I could do a frontside. You might think that's crazy but I've always hated frontside they look so terrible, royale's look amazing though one of my favourites especially backside.
i have had the powerslide next for about a year now skating on and off. Could you talk more about the pressure points you felt. I feel I have a similar issue where they never felt comfortable. I would wear them for 30-60 mins max at a time becasue my left and right side of the foot would feel too squeezed. Is this the pressure you felt and would I also benefit from looking for a model that is a bit wider on the toebox?
Yeah i got some advantage pro xt rollerblades coming in but not hearing good things about them but hopefully good enough bc i cant afford the fr1s right now.
