Here we will be doing Tool reviews / first looks, Tool deals / sales. Discussing mechanics and automotive topics. I will also be rebuilding a third gen camaro.
Lol idk if you noticed but my garage is where I spend 70% percent of my time, I run my own business, I detail vehicles, maintenance vehicles, built my own camaro. I have ocd so when I'm not using my tools I'm cleaning them and organizing my garage. I also have my office in the garage so I keep it very clean. This isn't at some shop where I don't have time to clean. This is my home so I'm not going to let it be dirty. Even if it is a garage
@@alcerz984 ya it's kind of a pet peeve of mine. Any time I get bored or have free time I just start cleaning or reorganizing anything I can. I don't know why, I just enjoy it lol
I just recently bought a trail boss and was wondering what you use to stick the trail boss decal on the inside? Will be subscribing for future colorado videos!
I picked up that Titan pry bar (2 actually since the price was right), and they are such a nice size. I did find that there were some burrs on the shaft, but they buffed out with some emory cloth.
Is it true the astros are shorter than these? I don’t really care about the wrench feature on the astros, just want to know which will last longer and bite better.
I would say quality, fitment, and durability are the same. Sizes are also very much similar. Both good choices. The astro just having that additional feature.
Hey Tony whilliams is a top notch brand and my experience with their sockets and wrenches has ben great as good as tool truck brands they are a Snap On owned Company also the original Kolbalt socket sets and wrenches were made by williams / snap on owned company great stuff in my opinion i suplemented some of their things into my vast collection of snap on, mac & matco thamks, MARK
Hello again, Tony Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Another great tool selection. So geese are afraid of green Lazer light. Does that work for Ducks? I don't have a dog to chase them 😕 Ducks are pretty nasty. I 'm sure geese are close enough to be the same. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Williams is two different lines of tools. The black handle screwdrivers are Snap-on and 1/3 the cost. This tool set looks like the Taiwan line. I only buy the Williams USA tools myself (owned by snap-on).
Ya this is a Taiwan set. Still a great set but ya the usa stuff is usually a great deal. Even the lower tooth count usa ratchets are a nice deal also 👍
I have a Williams dealer 10 miles from my house. They even do warranty work/returns. They are carbon copy of Snap-on and Blue Point. Even the USA ratchets are exactly the same as Snap-On. There is just less variety.
LET'S GO T-BONE 🏁 I grabbed tgat Titan little prybar.. Titan hit another one.. it's handy I have the Williams 3/8" ratchet..very much like this 1/4" and I like it...
Geese are also afraid of dogs. My dogs take pride in chasing geese away. Lol Good stuff in this vid. I can comment on the flexible funnels. I have had my "Form-a-Funnel" for years now. As a small engine guy today and a former marine (boat) mechanic, these things are worth every penny. Keep up the great content Tony!!
That Williams set looks nice! Price is fair to me considering I'll pay $100+ just for a made in USA ratchet. Definitely geared more so towards the prosumer and professional mechanic.
Ya I don't believe this set is but not 100% sure about that. They do have usa made stuff but I don't think this set is one of them. I still think it's a nice set.
@@rickhammar1636 I actually just picked up a cheap no name set similar to this on Amazon just for the case. Threw out everything and replaced it with all Proto sockets that I acquired through tool swaps/flea markets in my area.
If quarter inch is what you used most then yes. But if it's just occasional then I just use chrome on my impact driver. Not enough torque to damage them
Tony- great video! Thinking of ordering a bag, let me ask - day to day wear and so on - would you recommend the regular color scheme or black out? Don’t care about he vswap - more concerned with durability and appearance. Thanks in advance for your reply…..willing to hear others thoughts on this also.
They both have pros and cons. Both very very durable bags. I like the originals flaps being more flexible and easy to work around. But even though the blackout has stiffer flaps due to the inside of the flap having pockets, they are extremely handy to hold more tools and accessories besides that if the swap panels aren't a big deal both are equally as durable.
Good stuff as always, Tony! I would add zip-ties, a cheap nut & bolt set, duct tape, a good length of nylon-braided rope, and a variety pack of bungee cords. Any guy worth his salt can MacGyver his way out of any jamb with these items.... Lol
I really enjoy this series. I would be interested to see your applicator collection. My sons and I do car detailing on the side and we have just about every applicator for coatings or protectorants you can think of. Some are great, some are trash. Would love to see what you like.
Thank you. Ya I can put something like that together. I know what you mean. I started off getting alot of chemical guys stuff. And while I did find a handful of products I liked. Alot of them were just blah. I use alot of p&s and 3m and some others
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I’m damn near blind and my work pays for my glasses. I have Rx WileyX that I pretty much always have to wear in the shop. Granted I don’t typically wear the side shields but it’s nice that my eyes are covered to some extent. Just tonight I was changing the oil in the Duramax and wouldn’t you know it I dropped the oil filter into my catch pan and made an absolute mess, but didn’t get any in my eyes!
Ya I like my wileyx stuff. I've had stuff fall in my eyes way to many times lol. It's just nice not having to dig around in my eye trying to find a piece of debris. 👍
Love me some shop towels and tub o towels Not sure how old your son is, mine took my eye pro for his nerf guns but luckily i have extra pairs for that and my tools that go bang
I just ordered the mini fighter 10-12 weeks out🥺 NBD they must and should be popular. I got the new weathertech HP floor liners and they are worlds better than the hard plastic ones of yore. I also got their bed liner and it fits like a glove. Do you think clocking the release handle forward on the SCAR would make it easier to work with, or is there plenty of room as-is? Anyway, thanks for the videos, I really dig that bumper.
Thank you. I have no problem getting my hand in and accessing it. But if you have beat paws it might make it easier to access as long as the handle doesn't make contact with anything after clocking it 👍
I can't find AMBER LEDs fog lights for the halogen sockets for my 2023 Chevy Colorado. Can anyone help me find a good pair of AMBER LEDs on that? I have just installed Lasfits front running lamps with switchback turn signals and the Lasfits backup LEDs, which I'm very satisfied.
Cool. You can use a 3/8" Ernst Twist Lock socket rail clip to retain the 3/8" drive nano sockets in almost any 17mm box end. Same applies for using a 1/2" clip to retain 1/2" drive socket in 22mm box end. I did get the Astro 3/8" drive flex head wrench (100T) to go with the 19 piece set. It is very nice and you get some pass through action.
I was only able to afford the US General 30" 5-draw cart and I am having a hard time setting it up the way I like because there is not enough room for all the tools. I use the top for my sockets and I can't fit them all up there and I wanted 1 big draw for sockets and my most used ratchets but I just have to work with what I got until I can afford to buy a bigger box. Thanks for sharing your tool box, very nice setup.
I like those grab handles. And I have a few third brake lights in my cart waiting to get one. And also bought that $250 roof rack off of eBay. I should probably make a video. But had to make modifications, scratched the paint because I installed it at night by myself . still have to do some testing at higher speeds for vibrations. Looks good though.
I have the Astro 3/8 Nano socket set and the nano socket wrench. Good stuff. Only gripe with the Nano socket wrench is that it doesn't always grip the sockets well so if you're deep in an area and you turn the handle, the wrench will come off lol. I don't use it often but it's come in handy on some serpentine belt changes and alignments
Hello again, Tony Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Life should be flexible and that's what you're tank provides. I like the idea. Have a great weekend 😀
