My channel Rolfbjj is where every journey is more than just a destination-it's a story waiting to be told. I'm Rolf, an adventurer at heart, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast, and just a regular guy trying to up my storytelling skills.
Me and my wife decided that the standard 9-5 wasn't the life we dreamed of. So, my wife and I sold our house, packed our bags, and dove headfirst into the world of travel, with a twist - I'm dragging my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi along for the ride.
Here's the deal: we thought traveling was all about those Instagram-worthy moments, but let me tell you, it's more about getting lost, finding the best street food spots, making friends in the most unexpected places, and forgetting to use your camera and phone. 01.02.24 I decided to make cooler and better videos for RU-vid, stay tuned.
I’ve been to all inclusive hotels in over 20 countries and hotel Xcaret is by far the best. Nothing compares to the 7 parks that are included, and the experience at the Muluk spa. Worth the price! 🎉🇲🇽♥️
This is NOT a 5 star resort. They will ENDLESSLY harass you for Spa, Excursions and Wine purchases. The food is VERY average to below average compared to other Cancun area all inclusive resorts and if you upgrade to a "Presidential" suite, you will get a room so run down, with broken showers, wall fixtures, ceiling fans, etc. Our "Presidential Suite" had a swamp view with the lovely smell of garbage. Good thing we paid extra for it. Go elsewhere.
800€ a night 😂 11200€ for 14 days it's crazy and the plane ticket is not even in it. For That price i can get a plane ticket, rent a nice car, nice hotel, eat good food and mouve around the Yucatan and close regions... For less than that. Lazy people who wants every thing serve with out doing much pay the price.
to everyone saying food at Xcaret is EPIC ... i dare someone to go and film all restaurant buffet and see the results ...... 6/10 NO MORE from someone who got back May 5th 2024
Some of the food is very good! But for me the small local joints in the area will win the price for more tasty food every time. Xcaret fans, can’t handle that 🤷♂️
not as big as Disneyland really ????? i have been to Disneyland for 13days with both my kids and i did it all ... got two signed books of princess signatures waiting in lines for hours and visiting stuff while in Xcaret Mexico i did go there 10 days and just my resort + 10 Park would took me at least 30 days to see it all ........... Xcaret Mexico hotel is way too expenside compared to Disney Land but you got way much stuff to do .
I might have done a wrong comparison here, and mixed Disneyland and Disney world. Xcaret Park is 200 acres, and Disneyland is 500 acres (remember this was before I ever visited Xcaret, and know more of it’s structures now) I remember I read somewhere that Xcaret had a 800 acre lot, and I also know Xcaret group started a project in 2022 in the Yucatán district of over 600 acres, witch the article states is bigger than the original Xcaret. But compared to Disney world (which is the comparison I thought I did 😂) Xcaret becomes the little league, as Disney world is 25.000 acres 😮
Hi! Great videos to help us plan our cruise from Sydney to Vancouver (via Hawaii) on Quantum of the seas; a reverse of your cruise. What is the name of the tour company on Moorea? We would like to book direct with them.
Thank You 🙏 we actually booked this directly with the cruise. The company the cruise used is called Moorea Explorer (mooreaexplorer.com) I would also have booked directly the next time there 🤩
I think you’re over reacting, I was there today and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. The snakes are harmless ass there mouths are to small to bite you.
If you see the video, I’m saying it’s one of the coolest places I’ve been. They can actually bite you and kill you though. But they are not aggressive snakes. But all in all I loved the island.
Enjoyed this funny video with a different angle of travel 😂. Looks like a amazing adventure 🥰 Really well made ❤️. Impressively good language. And impressed by Ida who accompanies you "tough" guys 👏👏.
Yes! Chiltepin Marisquillos is very Nice, tropical taco is a very cool place as well. There’s a couple of Street food that is amazing, and a must do. There’s always street food outside of mega in the evenings. I can’t remember all the good places, but there’s some good food in playa 🤩
If you actually watch the video, you would know I’m not trying to make it look bad at all. I’m only talking positively about it. It’s absolutely one of the best. I just think Palmaïa has an edge as a hotel, and Xcaret has a huge edge when it comes to theme park
I loved the place. Everyone is thinking about the thumbnail which is a reference to my wife’s food poisoning. Literally everything I’m saying about the hotel in the video is pure positivity. But we did like Palmaïa the house of Aia better (even though non of us are vegan)
Oh man! I have not played it 😅 to be honest I am not a gamer at all. I never even used computers before my works demanded it. Always been out snowboarding and the last 10+ years BJJ and MMA 🤷♂️ A year ago, I wanted to learn to edit some RU-vid films 😂
If all you plan on doing is drinking margaritas by the pool, you can definitely do better than Xcaret. The whole reason to go to Xcaret is the parks, and most importantly the network of convenient shuttle busses to get you around. For most vacationers, being able to fly into Cancun and be driven everywhere for free avoids a lot of travel stress. The amazing architecture and natural feel of the resort is just a bonus. Sure you pay for it up front, but you know you're going to have an amazing vacation in sunny Mexico with minimal hassle and maximum safety. Now if only Xcaret could do something about the airlines over-booking flights...
If you watched the film, you would see that we obviously liked Xcaret and that the wasted money was a reference to my wife’s food poisoning. We’re not typically pool margarita drinking people. But found it a bit sad that you have to wear life jackets in the hotel lagoon.
Nice to hear from you @adampuscion2478 I’ve been bad at updating RU-vid unfortunately, had to much stuff to do. This film from Panama was filmed in February. We just spent a month in Japan now, before visiting Singapore and are now in Thailand. Hope you are doing well?
your accident w the Australian fan is a common occurrence. You must be a tall one. I met a tall Swedish guy who had both hands effed by a Nicaraguan fan (ceiling type as usual).
Sea snakes are very common throughout the Pacific from Fiji to the Philippines. It is not uncommon to see them on land. As with all wildlife on land and in the sea...leave it alone and there is no danger.
Yes it is! I recommend you to check out our video from Raiatea, where we are visiting a vanilla farm and a private motu. I have to create some new videos soon 🤩 Thank you for subscribing
@@rolfbjj Sorry it took so long to get back to you. we'll definitely check out Raiatea - we loved that island too, and getting out to a private motu would be a paradise.
Just left, worst resort I’ve ever been to. Lowest quality food and liquor money can buy. The service was also was pretty bad. Lunch and dinner took 2 to 2.5 hours and bartenders struggled to make what I requested, in English and Spanish, so not a language barrier. I would received a pinacolada instead of a strawberry margarita 3 times. 😂 You should enjoy a vacation, that is not what will happen at this resort.
I was there last August and I state with all honesty the service is definitely 5-star. I'm not sure what experience they were expecting or looking for, but it is a top-notch hotel. You get a personal waitstaff person/butler who guides you when you get there. They go over the hotel, the dining and excursions if you haven't pre-booked them, and takes you to your room. The food is nothing less than spectacular. Even the buffet style places like the Mercado and Cayuco brunch were amazing. He's right, alot of RU-vid travel videos are sponsored but they were not lying. Totally worth the price. The only thing I'll say is that it's VERY steeped in Mexican culture. Every little detail down to the food selections, decor, and atmosphere. Me and my friends loved that aspect but it's worth nothing.
So a lot of people think I’m saying the hotel is not 5-star based on the thumbnail. Although what that refers to is the nights my wife had food poisoning. When you burn $1000 a night, just to be in bed puking it’s not that pleasant. All over I think I am saying mostly positive things about the hotel :)
Best Part about the Resort for me was: Pools Large Property (Always something to do) Kids Club was GREAT Worse Parts: Drinks were cheap bottom shelf liquors Food was Ok nothing. special The property wasn’t well lit at night. I found to hard to navigate to and from my room after the sun set. The property hasn't aged well. It's time for a refresh. It looks like it needs a good deep cleaning Over all it was livable but far from the BEST. I wouldn't go back and I would say it's a 50/50 chance other picky travelers would like it.
sunbeds at dawn has already put me off this place sadly, it was in my top 3 as well. I prefer the hotels that ban it and remove the towels within 20 minutes. Guests are much happier when that happens. Good honest review though, thank you!
