Here I did use 1.2mm stainless steel welding wire. But in general for big GT fishing is recommended to use 1.6mm at least. I know I can get away with thinner wire, since my setup only have max drag of 11kg on the 8k Shimano I'm using. Did catch 11kg yellow fin tuna without any issues on the lure with 1.2mm wire.

Hej, mam pytanie . Czy obciążenie w postaci ołowiu jest konieczne? Pytam ponieważ po wrzuceniu kółek i kotwic zostaje maksymalnie 0.6g zapasu. Kształt mam lekko bananowaty także leży tak jak u Ciebie. Pracuje też ok, lecz czasami zdarza się, że zamiast zawijać lewo prawo to idzie prosto jak kłoda. Może jednak muszę dać te 0.6 g ale na dupkę raczej nie dam bo wtedy już w ogóle będzie stał pionowo . Pozdr.
@@rafałFILIPEK-w7s jeżeli chodzi Ci o jak najniżej w korpusie, czyli przy samym brzuszku, to tak, im niżej obciążenie tym stabilniejsza praca boczna. Now true coat epoxy 😏 back then, polish brand that since has been discontinued 😕 after I runned out I tasted several different brands, none of them I was happy with the results, now I'm happy 99% with the true coat... the only downside is the price 😮💨

The action on that was top-notch! I make topwater baits to catch bass, and what's crazy is the ugly ones do the best. What's worse is they work so well I end up losing them to fish that are too big or smart!
This one I still have, I wasn't 100% happy with the looks, but the action is spectacular, caught countless big Chub on it and also some Zander and perch 😊 I very rarely loose the lure to the fish, more often when casting on the three like an idiot 😅
@@SuchaJerkCustomLures Haha, I have a Zara Spook knock-off that's in a bush across a way that matched up with the shape and color of the leaves, but I'll get it back! Day prior I caught a 3# bass with it.
I thin my paint: dedicated thinner 2:1 paint. The pressure generally around 10-15 PSI for regular painting, sometimes 7-8PSI for small details. If I use bigger lures 20-25PSI for base colours

Hi 🙂 I'm not convinced if I should try, I have no access to any boat, even freshwater, so no way for me to check if the lure would actually swim correctly in the trolling, and I don't want to teach to make lure that is not tested, potentially doesn't work well and many people might lose time and materials trying to copy it 🤷 that's why I only make tutorials of lures that's are tried and tested by me 😉
Hi, it's called the "magic powder mirror effect", it's a powder for 💅 art, you can buy it in nail art salons, or online. Important is that you will buy the "top coat no wipe" type of nail UV gel, otherwise it will look like regular glitter instead of giving the reflective effect 😉
Piękne wykonanie, Efekt końcowy w postaci pracy woblera - perfekcja. Jedyne co mi się marzy, to żebyś nagrał film z tych nocnych połowów ;-) Z innej beczki - nie boisz się, że sum może zdemolować taki balsowy korpus? Myślisz, że robiąc taką przynętę z twardszego drewna np. lipowego da się zachować jego parametry? Mam na myśli pływalność i akcję.
Dzięki 🙂 z tym sumem to tak na wyrost, jakoś od 4 lat tylko jednego trafiłem, a jak już się trafi faktycznie kaban co zdemoluje, to i tak wyjedzie choćby na samym stelażu (to będę tak zajarany, że pal licho wobka). Natomiast zrobiłem sobie formę silikonową - ten flagowiec obok na końcu filmiku to już odlewany - bo przydadzą się też na morskie łowienie na wakacjach. Trochę mniejsza ilość obciążenia (4 kulki wolframowe 0.6g) 10% mikrobalonu i chodzi dokładnie tak samo 😉 co do filmików, to chodzę teraz za sandaczem z go pro, w piątek i wczoraj miałem po jednym nie wymiarowym, oba spadły pod szczytówka, szału nie ma jeśli chodzi o nagrywanie przy czołówce, ale jak coś lepszego siadzie to może jakiś filmik wrzucę 😉

Hi, it's a Polish brand, called "HartzLack ultra strong", I use the gloss version. It's extremely hard, the only issue is that it gets hardened on the jar in about one month, so the losses are large, but it's the price for the quality of the finish

Jeśli chodzi o wymiary to zrób sobie screen shota I wydrukuj, to przy długości 15cm powinny Ci wyjść miejsca na obciążenie dosyć precyzyjnie tak jak u mnie, kulki ołowiane do wiatrówki 5.5mm 😉 właśnie się wprowadzamy na nowe mieszkanie, będę miał pracownie i warsztat w jednym pokoju, planuje kupić drukarkę że skanerem, to wtedy jakiś link do templatek dodam do każdego filmiku 😉 edit: ster pod kątem ok 45°
Nice work started doing this recently and great to see some of the techinques. I hope you've got a bandsaw and belt/disc sander at somepoint since as personally can't imagine making lures without them so much additional work

Hi i know you made this bait 3 years ago and it’s longshot for me to get some info but i was wondering if you could share some specifications like, total weight of lure, size and angle of “bib”(lip), does it float or sink and how deep it dives, i would like to recreate it in 7cm version so this info would be great starter, thanks i advance, love to watch your creations.
Hi 👋 I see we're thinking alike, cause I was planning to made the 7cm version for myself this summer. I lost both the original and the one from the video already, so I'm not sure about the weight 🤷 it was very slow sinking lure, nearly suspending. The angle of the bib was at 45°, the size difficult to say 🤔 I also did 11cm version, which was highly successful for asp 🎣 I will recreate it for the video in July, then I'll make sure to include all the measurements 👌
Thank you for responding and for info. I recently started making lures for myself and had few pretty succesfull pieces. I mainly fish for asp and best sizes that work for me are 7cm & 8cm minnow like lures.

Nice catch ! Two weeks ago got one similar size, unfortunately lost it under my legs when i was trying to catch it with lip grip, treble hook snaged into branch that was sticking out of the ground and he riped of splitring 😞😞 Later that day got one that was 54cm 2,4kg. I will try to recreate both of those lures, only i don’t think second one would work for me since i fish in prety shalow water with a lot of underwater structures like big rocks, grass and alge.
@@maidsuho3337 it's a shame that you lost it, I always carrying folding landing net on my back, once the fish is landed and recovering in the net, I have all time in the world to sort out my selfie stick and the phone for the photos 😉 yeah cykada type lure, most likely not going to be the best choice in shallow water, although this one with the fast retrieve swims 30cm bellow the surface.
