Excellent video. I would suggest not to price it just in case you have to change it. This way you don't have to go back in to change the price on your computer and re-print and re-laminate and re-cut again.
Go to 7:49 if youre in a hurry. Really appreciate the video man, had to reset STS on a machine at work after the power went out today and it was a huge help!!
Hello, Thank you for your response and I apologize for the delayed reply...this isn't my primary email. I have another dilemma. My AMS 39 combo(guaranteed vend)won't except coins or bills. When I start the machine the acceptor goes through the motion, but I can't get the machine to work. I had someone come out and look at it with no success...he said it could be a motherboard issue. Finding a repairman has been a chore in itself. The guy who looked at the machine is quitting the business.I haven't heard back from AMS and it's become a bit discouraging. This is the machine that could help jump start my business and it's just sitting in my garage. Thanks for any insight. Kindly, Malcolm Parker
@@HappyVending I did get the machine working.Thanks. Like I stated in my other message,my AMS 39 combo won't take coins or bills. I need this machine to really get my business going. Repairmen are scarce and I haven't heard back from AMS whether or not they test control boards.I appreciate any insight
hi. First I want to say I really appreciate what you post. you are an inspiration to us all. I am new to the vending machine business and half of my vending machines are outside. I have Dixie Narco 501E, Royal 660 and Royal 550. how cold does it have to be on the outside of the vending machine before cans are destroyed in the vending machine. the internal fan generates some heat and I always close the door on the machine properly.
Good question. I suppose if it is getting down to the teens, you might want to install a heater in your machine. I know Royal sells a heater kit for machines that are in cold environments.
I have learned so much from your videos. I really appreciate you helping me and the vending community out we all gain knowledge from each video and for that I thank you very much
Hey Rob: Can you confirm the Nyax machines let you set a fee higer then $.10 - all of our products are $2-$8 and $.10 would slow the profit bleed but not stop it. Cantaloupe and CPI seem limited to $.10
Not sure who Rob is, but I'll answer anyway. Yes, the Nayax readers will allow you to set any amount as an added fee. You can also set it to do a percentage...like 10 percent of the sale. That would probably be better for you since you have high priced items.
Sounds like your coin changer is not working....so the machine is only allowing dollar amounts. Is there a problem with your coin changer? Does it accept money? Do you see an exact change light on? Maybe try running Tube Fill mode. I have a video on that.
@@HappyVending the change isn’t accepting any change it just falls in the change holder. When I run a quarter in there in just falls back come in the holder to where I can grab it out of there.
Awesome video. Really helping me out during my first month. Sourcing 20 oz water bottles has been an issue for me. Do you have an experience with 16 oz water bottles? They seem too skinny and squishy to properly vend, andI’ve been unsuccessfully trying to get creative to make it work. Appreciate any tips!
I use Dasani 16.9 ounce bottles that I get from BJS. They seem to be firmer than the ones in the grocery stores, but they are still too squishy to stack high. I set the machine up with a bottle shim 2 products deep with a rod in the rotor.
@@HappyVending makes sense, the Dasani were the ones I was looking at. What would you consider too high to stack? Thank you for the tips man appreciate that.
Great video So I followed your video and for the first 2 vends it was perfect but on my third vend the Powerade bottle seems to get caught up on the long product stop. So it is just hanging from the top of the bottle. Never touches the chute it just Hanging free. Any idea??
Would you be able to help us out with a 10 minute intro to the software? We just placed 12 machines in 6 schools and have been searching for assistance.
Congratulations on getting a school contract. I go over the basics of the Nayax software in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8AAjNrMf1nQ.html
@HappyVending I watched that video already! We are trying to figure out how we calculate the cost of goods and sales tax from our earnings to determine our 15% profit share to the district after tax and expenses. Any idea? We have all the backend set up and are trying to integrate to VendSoft and Simplifi from CMI. No one has been able to help and we're desperate for answers lol
@@y0mP I see. I don't get that deep into the weeds with the Nayax software so I can't really help. I also don't pay for the complete analytics interface from Nayax, so I don't see all the options. Did you try contacting Nayax tech support for help?
@@HappyVendingyeah, i am not that hard core. i have them at a friends recreational business and everything went bad nobody can afford it. It was more of a hobby anyhow. If things change i’ll get back into it.
I usually have the compressor come on when the cabinet hits 41 degrees...and turn off when the cabinet gets down to 34 degrees. I guess it takes about 15 minutes for the compressor to kick back on...but my machines are pretty old. Newer machines are better insulated.
That is a pretty cool video and very informative. Look forward to seeing a lot more of your videos. I’ve watched all that you have now on your channel. Hopefully, you will put out more new content would enjoy watching it. Happy vending. 😊
YES! So excited to see you are back! I miss your videos! Can't wait to watch this later! Hope you are doing well! Best of luck with the new school year Bill! :)
There is no OSHA regulation requiring vending machines to be mounted to walls. The only time that vending operators mount their machines to the wall is when people shake them to try to get free products. That is not a problem at my location.
Weird: in Canada cost of bottles is over x2 of cans whereas difference in volume is less than that so unless location really requires to have bottles selling cans from profitability perspective is a no brainer
My first column isn’t vending I don’t know if it’s because my timing cam is different from the rest of my columns or if it’s the trigger is there a way I can send you a video ?
@@lilmunchybaby That cam is different because it's a wide column. Honestly, it just looks like the motor is rusted and dirty. You can try taking the motor apart and cleaning it with contact cleaner. Or, you may just need to purchase a replacement motor.
Ok thanks a lot bill I honestly don’t know how to repay you. You’ve saved me a lot of money with your other videos and I’ve learned a lot for the wide column would I purchase the same exact motor as a regular column and should I just reach out to crane directly ?
Just want to say a big thank you for this video. I just replaced my Royal 650 cooling deck by myself! I had an issue with drop chute that I thought your viewers might like to know. After I removed the drop chute, it came unplugged from the board. I didn't know it and after i was finished with the cooling deck I tried to vend a drink to test out the chute (good advice!!). The machine wouldn't vend anything. It took my money but wouldn't dispense at all. It was like all the motors were dead. Because of what you said about the chute, I knew it had to be that. I looked all around inside the door and found the plug for the chute hanging behind a piece of the door metal. Luckily the previous owner had marked the cord "chute." After looking the control board over, I found a place to plug it in. After an unsuccessful try, I decided to unplug it and do it again. That time it gave a loud click and the machine worked on the next test. Thanks again for all the good videos you do!!
Will the machine eventually refill the tube on its own with the deposited coins from vends over time. For example, a machine out of quarters, and people put four quarters in for a soda, will they go into the tube or the chute?
I saw it done in the past. Some good and some not so good results. What do you think is worse case in a home set up? I was going to use a front pull older machine but, I thought the electric consumption on a 50 year old machine would be very high as well as not as cold. I think you have enough experience that your suggestions should be considered. Might keep the vend out side in the shade in Florida, so its hot year round. Thanks for the help.
Glass bottles are not designed to handle the stress of having other bottles stacked on top of them and then being rotated through a pivot and dropping down into a shoot. It will end with broken glass or caps popped off with a big mess. I wouldn't do it. Just get cans of beer. You can post your question on the vendiscuss.net forum and see the opinion of vendors that have been doing this far longer than I have.
Hey Bill, Great Videos!! I have a quick question, do I need to setup the product prices on both the vending machine and on the nayax reader? I am seeing conflicting info online about this so I figured you would be the best person to ask. Thanks Rob
Great detailed video! This is the BEST video I have seen that explains EVERYTHING related to Nayax VPOS. This video is even better than the Nayax videos.
@@HappyVending well I screwed. I used the coupon sample that came with it assuming it will work. It didn't. Not accepting it. It flashes 7 times. I tried about 10 times. It won't work. Now I need a new clean coupon. Or, is there other way to program it? I mean a hand held or computer, or phone?
@@fernesal You can program it with the built in menu. Do you have the manual? It describes how to program it in the manual. If you don't have the manual, search for it online.
