have to say, what a terrible terrible design, once the original spacer is knocked off, you will never get it in the correct location again.

I'm curious why you say no anti sieze on plug threads? I've always thought it only made good sense for steel to aluminum. Spark plugs are often in there for 10-15 years and 150,000 miles. I'm careful to get it only on the threads, none on either of the insulators.

Yes on the 2011 i think you have to remove the plenum or the wipers. If you remove the plenum there's a bolt that holds a bracket on right and left side in the back thats probably the hardest part

Thank you George for some good tips. Great video. I just bought a 2011 lexus es 350 with 125000 on it. Servicing trans with aisin WS and filter replacement and also i'm doing new denso plugs and 3 new coils on the back side; because i dont want to have to go back there again any time soon hopefully. Do you think the plenum can stay on for the 2011 job. i think i have to remove the wipers too. any additional helpful info is appreciated.

Thank you. So you removed them both from the top (and not the bottom) and did not have to loosen the subframe bolts? Also when you rocked the engine to remove the drivers side mount was the other mount installed or out of the vehicle and is there any risk to rocking the engine where something may not line up? Sorry if it is a dumb question - rather ask then have an issue. Any difference with a 2014 sport version. Thanks again.
@r.weaver3769
@r.weaver3769 10 месяцев назад
You can loosen subframe to gain a little room on the drivers side, or just do it like he said. Both mounts gotta be unbolted to move engine over. Ain't no dumb questions here, only way to know is to ask. Good luck. I ain't paying dealer $1500 either.
