Thank you so much for this video!!! This exact thing happened to my son’s car and I spent 5 hours in a hot car yesterday chasing the wrong solution. Frustrated I decided to give RU-vid one more try and your video popped up. His car was in a level parking lot so it hadn’t rolled. When I pushed it and it rolled (in park) I knew this was it. I finally found the cable and, bingo! We had to order the bushing but we could get the car home by manually shifting the transmission as you demonstrated. This video tip saved us a lot of money. The VVaTcHeR my 2007 wont even cranck A/C ,Radio and lights comes on but on the dash board shows me a small power singh and a battery plus all the P,R,N,D,1,2 are close on a square please help
THANK YOU George !! I'm having the same problem where everything is okay except the ignition won't kick in. I will look at the shift cable, if I can find it, and look and see if the bushing is either worn out or missing. Very good video !!
The key that comes with the Sebring is called a Sentry key. Your cars alarm system will not allow a un-programmed key to run more than two seconds. Here is something you probably did not know. The Sebring is capable of making duplicate Sentry keys. You buy a blank Sentry or (chip key). Have a lock smith cut the key to match your key. You have to have the programmed key to do this. Just follow the Steps in in the owners manual. I think they call it making a valet key. The car will program the new key.
Another thing to check is the lever that the cable attaches to it gets all gummed up and hard to move, it happened to my car and wouldn't go into park and of course wouldn't start once shut off. Cleaned and lubricated the lever and never had a problem with it not going in park again

All chrysler cars have tremendous issues coming from manufacture,then we we get the cars we have to go threw all theses uneccessary headaches.....chrysler need to shut its doors for gd ,all chrysler cars are dangerous,the lawyer need to get chrysler for all the money they stole from us on a car the would never be fixed its always problem after problem

The same thing happened to my car Sebring 2007 2.7, but it wasn't the cable bushing it was the connections to the computer must have slightly vibrated lose, something to check
Just wait 4 years. Chrysler is making an engine that has no starter or sparkplugs. When they first told me about it, i thought it was a new Diesel engine, but no. Lol

Got a problem with my '07 Chrysler Sebring 2.4 ltr automatic the problem started in February of this year & sense then I would run the vehicle & it starts to like miss so I would accelerate then the starter will crank & keep cranking till it burns out or short out. It's been six starters that I've replaced. Don't know what's going on. Haven't installed anything on it for it to do this. Need help in Brownsville Texas. Thanks before hand

Smiley Jewel 2007 sebring 2.4l is notorious for have a bad fuel pump relay that's built into your TIPM, it will cause the fuel pump to either not get any power at first start, or stop giving power to the fuel pump and make the engine stutter while cold, and eventually the TIPM will almost certain burn your fuel pump out entirely...
I have a 97 sebring convertible. 2.5l. It doesn't start,crank,and nothing works in the car,no acc. It's dead completely like the battery was disconnected. The key turns all the way but I get nothing no interior lights,no dash lights, not radio,no clicks, . .just completely dead. All fuses are ok, and relays are OK. Any suggestions or ideas or routes I should take to figure out this problem. The car started just fine 4 days ago,after i replaced the battery. I started it 3 tines it was just fine. I Didn't touch the car for 4 days. When I tried to start it. I get nothing. Try to jump it with booster pack and nothing,no cranks, no clicks no accessories or lights in and out. If your starter is starting to go bad sometimes it will start when the car is cool but ones it heats up it may not start again until it cools down so that means you need a starter. They also have a problem with the ignition switch sometimes it may start and sometimes it won't it depends on how you turn the key . Also make sure battery terminals are good and tight. Sorry for responding a week later.
George Woods so mine does everything u said.. sometimes It will drive dint like jerk itself over a certain speed, then I pull over turn off and turns back on fine. But then when I drive a little more then normal it hesitated to start. I have paid over 1500 replacing censors and other work. Can’t figure it out
